Giving Thor Guidance[]
In an alternate 2013, after taking Jane Foster to rest in her chambers, Frigga was walking around the halls of Asgard with her maidens, instructing them in attending to Loki. Suddenly, she discovered the presence of someone from within her surroundings. Dismissing her maidens, Frigga searched around the palace and located Thor hiding from her behind one of the columns, telling him to leave such behavior to his brother. Surprised by Thor's appearance, long hair, and weight, she inquired what attire he was currently wearing as well as what happened to his face, to which Thor tried to claim that he was injured during the Battle of Harokin.
However, due to her magical prowess, Frigga was able to discern that this Thor was not from her universe, but from another universe. Thor then quickly denied her statement and tried to claim he had no idea what she was speaking of. However, Frigga reassured her son that she knew due to being raised by witches. At that instance, Thor started to mourn and admitted that she was right. The two then embraced, and Frigga and Thor retreated to one of her chambers to talk.
Frigga and Thor shared a heartfelt conversation on his past. As she listened while Thor explained how he killed Thanos out of rage, Frigga assured her son that he was not an idiot for failing to stop Thanos from orchestrating the Snap, but agreed he was a failure. She then explained that everyone failed at becoming what they were expected to in life and should instead pursue their true self. After the two hugged goodbye, Frigga refused to allow Thor to inform her of the circumstances of her death, citing that she was here to help his future and not hers.
Shortly after, Frigga met a distressed Rocket, who informed the pair that they would have to return to their own time as he had succeeded in gaining the Aether. Before departing, Thor stuck out his hand to summon Mjølnir, with Frigga notifying Rocket that the process took some time. As Thor prepared to leave, he told his mother that he loved her, and Frigga returned the sentiment.[1]
