- ―John Anglin to Frank Morris[src]
In 1962, Frank Morris and brothers John and Clarence Anglin planned to escape from Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary. Executing their plan, Morris and the Anglins created dummies of themselves and placed them in their beds before sneaking to the prison's roof via the ventilation ducts. They made their way to the beaches of Alcatraz Island where they began bringing a makeshift raft towards the water. As they were doing this, Loki Time Slipped from the Time Variance Authority Office into this universe due to the collapse of the Temporal Loom. Loki believed Morris to be his friend Casey, which, alongside Loki's sudden appearance, confused Morris and the Anglins. Morris and the Anglins soon continued to push their raft into the water while Loki Time Slipped again. Loki later came back and took Morris to another timeline to help him.[1]
