The "Fortified Ten Rings Base" Universe is an alternate universe where Iron Man destroyed the Ten Rings, who possessed many weapons from Stark Industries.

Birth of Iron Man[]

As Tony Stark grew up, he had a close relationship with Obadiah Stane. He graduated college at seventeen years old and later became the CEO of Stark Industries. He dated several supermodels and used the company to create and sell weapons to militaries. Meanwhile, Stane used Stark Industries to sell weapons to the Ten Rings as well.
The Ten Rings kidnapped Stark using the weapons sold to them by Stane. However, Stark built a metal armor and used it to escape the Ten Rings. He returned to the United States, surprising everyone at home as he decided to shut down weapons manufacturing at Stark Industries. Stark built a new armor and flew it into the mesosphere. Stark asked J.A.R.V.I.S. to help figure out how the Ten Rings got Stark Industries weapons, and J.A.R.V.I.S. helped guide Stark in a third armor to where he was found by James Rhodes.[1]

Tony Stark flew to a Ten Rings Base in Afghanistan and was met with heavy defenses. Stark returned fire and flew over several walls, destroying the Ten Rings' turrets and laser cannons. Stark destroyed the Ten Rings' tanks, leading J.A.R.V.I.S. to confirm that the Ten Rings had taken over the base using Stark Industries weapons.[1]
Attack on the Ten Rings Helicopter[]

Tony Stark then flew to a tundra area and found more Ten Rings operatives joined by helicopters. He fought through all of the Ten Rings' firepower and destroyed the Ten Rings' helicopter, learning that the Stark Industries weapons were being sold by someone inside the company. He contacted Pepper Potts and teased her about her social life before asking for help identifying who it was.[1]
Chase of Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar[]
Iron Man chases after Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar

Tony Stark was able to find Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar, a member of the Ten Rings, while al-Wazar was bringing Stark's first armor to Obadiah Stane. Stark began to chase al-Wazar, who called Stane for help, but Stane simply told al-Wazar not to allow Stark to retrieve the armor. The Ten Rings began to retreat north, but Stark followed them, flying over several islands where Ten Rings weapons fired at him. While Stark destroyed the weapons, al-Wazar met with Stane and delivered the armor, but Stane rendered al-Wazar unconscious using the Sonic Taser and took the armor.
As Stark destroyed the last of the defenses in the area, J.A.R.V.I.S. accessed information from Interpol revealing that al-Wazar had been found unconscious, but that it was unclear whether he was dead. Stark recognized the work of the Sonic Taser, leading him to realize that Stane was the one working with the Ten Rings. Stark tried to warn Pepper Potts, but did not receive an answer since Stane had kidnapped her, so he called James Rhodes and asked for help protecting Potts at Stark Industries Headquarters. Rhodes agreed, but demanded a strong explanation for Stark's recent actions and a suit of his own in return.[1]
Duel of Los Angeles[]
Iron Man fights Obadiah Stane

Tony Stark flew to Los Angeles and found that Obadiah Stane had lined up weapons on the streets to fire at Stark. While James Rhodes worked to free Pepper Potts, Stark destroyed the weapons Stane had set up and came across Stane, who was wearing the armor that Stark used to escape the Ten Rings. Stane threw cars at Stark, which Stark avoided and blasted Stane, causing the suit to explode and kill Stane.
Stark told Rhodes everything that happened and realized that Stane would have killed him months earlier had it not been for Stark's armor. Rhodes was surprised, so Stark noted that people tended to get corrupted by power, assuring Potts that he was more influenced by friendship than power. J.A.R.V.I.S. recommended that Stark do a better job of disposing his original armor, which Stark agreed to before flying away.[1]
