The Focke-Wulf Triebflügel[1] was an advanced rocket plane used by HYDRA during World War II.

History

The Triebflügel was a Vertical Take-Off and Landing tailsitter interceptor aircraft for local defense of important factories or areas which had small or no airfields. In November 1943, when Captain America attacked the HYDRA factory in Austria, Johann Schmidt escaped by using the Triebflügel.[2]

Trivia

  • In reality, the Focke-Wulf Triebflügel was not designed before 1944. The prototype was never built.
