"Me, Rocket, leave! Hooray time forever!"
―Floor[src]

Subject 89L06 was a rabbit who was genetically and cybernetically enhanced by High Evolutionary, turning her into a Halfworlder. While imprisoned, she made friends with three other Halfworlders that were called Batch 89. She gained the courage to name herself Floor while the others also named themselves. However, when Rocket tried to help them escape, Floor was killed.

Biography[]

Batch 89[]

Experimented On[]

A batch of rabbits were taken from Earth by High Evolutionary to be used for experiments. One of these rabbit test subjects was named as 89L06. During her experimentation, she was fitted with a muzzle and artificial legs. Once they finished, she was thrown into a cage. 89L06 met two other experiments named 89A95 and 89Q12. The three bonded although 89L06 had trouble because her intelligence was not on par with the others and her personality and method of speech was childlike.[1]

Meeting 89P13[]

Cute halfworlder

89L06 curiously approaches 89P13

"Hey, who's the new guy? What kind of thing are you? You've got, like, a mask on your face."
"Mask, eyes, face, mouth. Does it words?"
89A95 and 89L06[src]

One day, a new experiment was thrown into the cage with 89L06. A curious 89L06 crawled up to subject 89P13, happy to have a cage mate. 89Q12 reached next to 89L06 and grabbed a cloth. She then carefully wet the cloth with her mouth before placing it on 89P13's forehead to sop up the blood. Since 89L06 was in the same cage as 89P13, the two got close as they hoped to go to the new world together.[1]

Lying on the Floor[]

Batch 89

Batch 89 bond over their names

"Me be called Floor because me is lying on floor."
―Floor[src]

One day, Batch 89 were bonding and laying down on the floor when 89Q12 started talking about wanting her own name and identity. She then went on to name herself Lylla. The group remarked at how good the name was before 89A95 named himself Teefs as his teeth were more prominent than the rest. 89L06 then spoke, saying that she wanted to be called Floor because she was lying on the floor. The group laughed before 89P13 named himself Rocket, vowing that when they go to the new world they were going to fly away together into the beautiful sky.[1]

Escape and Death[]

"Rocket, Teefs, Floor go now! Rocket, Teefs, Floor go now! Rocket, Teefs, Floor go now!"
―Floor[src]

Soon, Rocket had returned to the cage after helping High Evolutionary. Floor wanted to play, but Rocket apologized, saying he had something important to do. He then rummaged around the floor for spare metal parts and grabbed each one. Using the parts, he created a key card. Rocket then took a deep breath before using it to unlock the door. He explained that they were not going to go to the new world and instead were going to be killed.

Floor Death

Floor is shot dead

Floor cheered as she and the rest were free. She watched as Rocket embraced Lylla before Lylla was suddenly shot by High Evolutionary. Rocket let out a wail as High Evolutionary mocked him. Rocket then lept at High Evolutionary, mauling his face open with his claws. Floor begged Rocket to get off so they could leave, but a grief fueled Rocket refused. Suddenly, High Evolutionary's guards arrived and opened fire. In the skirmish, Floor and Teefs were shot dead.[1]

Legacy[]

Floor and the rest of Batch 89's deaths were a catalyst for Rocket's cynical and pessimistic personality that would affect the young raccoon for years to come. He was given no time to mourn them in the moment as he was forced to escape capture. Floor was seen in a vision by Rocket when he was near death, along with Lylla and Teefs before he was resuscitated after his kill switch was deactivated.[1]

Personality[]

"Me and Rocket play now?"
"I can't right now, Floor."
―Floor and Rocket[src]

Floor had a very childlike personality and appeared to be the least intelligent subject of Batch 89. This is most apparent in her speech patterns; Floor did not use pronouns to refer to things and always referred to herself in the third person. Floor also got her namesake in a very simple way, deciding her name would be Floor simply because she was lying on the floor at the time. Additionally, she loved to play games with her friends, even at inappropriate times. Despite her seemingly low intelligence, Floor was still able to develop strong bonds with the rest of Batch 89, particularly Rocket, whom she shared her cell with.

When Floor learned of the High Evolutionary's plan to exterminate Batch 89, she reacted with disbelief as she still believed they would all be allowed to live on Counter-Earth. Once Lylla was shot and killed, Floor began panicking and urged Rocket and Teefs to leave with her immediately, despite how implausible it was at the time.
