"How did I get here?"

Flint is a recreation of the post-Terregenisis Flint, an Inhuman with earth manipulation powers, created using the energy from the Creation Di'Alla as a physical manifestation of Alphonso Mackenzie and Yo-Yo Rodriguez's fears of the ones they loved dying. Flint's earth powers would be used by Izel to recreate the three Di'Allas as part of her plan to open a portal between the earthly plane and her own realm.

Flint would escape in a Quinjet with the help of a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent named Piper. However, as they were flying away, Enoch, Leo Fitz, and Jemma Simmons would teleport into the jet, requesting their help. Flint would use his powers to build a piece of the Time Di'Alla for the three of them to use, and would be told to guard a Containment Module like there was nothing more important in the world, as it contained Alya, Fitz and Simmons' daughter. Following S.H.I.E.L.D.'s victory over the Chronicoms, Flint would enroll in the Coulson Academy, with one of his tutors being Melinda May.

Di'Allas Manifestation

Possessed by Izel

The copy of Flint was created from the Di'Allas' energy. Indeed, Izel needed to rebuild the Di'Allas to open a portal to the Fear Dimension, and planned on using their energy stored in a Gravity Containment Device to recreate them. Released in the Temple of the Forgotten, the Di'Allas' energy read through the fears of Yo-Yo Rodriguez and Alphonso Mackenzie, who had been captured by Izel and who had met Flint in an alternate future, and thus knew that his powers could recreate the Monoliths. As a result, the recreation of Flint was manifested, with all his memories of Rodriguez and Mackenzie.[2]

Flint's powers becoming possessed by Izel

Upon being manifested, Flint immediately recognized Alphonso Mackenzie and Yo-Yo Rodriguez. He then confronted Izel, who wondered why the Di'Allas had created him, and formed a rock spike he projected at her, but she was able to catch it. Having revealed his powers to Izel, Flint was told that she needed his powers to rebuild the Di'Allas. Although Flint claimed that he would never help her and his friends urged him to run away, Flint was instantly possessed by Izel, who used his Inhuman capabilities to recreate the monoliths just like she had planned. She then left Flint's body, having no further use for him.[1]

Escape from the Temple

Flint regained consciousness as Izel had briefly left the Temple of the Forgotten to unleash a swarm of Shrike. Discovering the Di'Allas, he asked Mackenzie and Rodriguez about their purpose and whether Izel was the Destroyer of Worlds. Flint then realized that he had a lot to catch up on, between the fact that Earth had been saved from destruction, the fact that he had been generated by the Monoliths, and the discovery of Yo-Yo Rodriguez's Prosthetic Arms. Once Rodriguez and Mackenzie were released from their cuffs, they all attempted to flee, only to be stopped by Izel, who possessed Rodriguez and used the enhanced strength her arms gave her to break Flint's leg, thus preventing them to flee.

Flint was eventually saved thanks to the intervention of Deke Shaw, who had teleported inside the temple using a ShawDrive. Flint and Shaw were mutually astonished to see another resident of the future Lighthouse, but agreed that their story could wait. Flint was then given a Sonic Barrier Cuff by Shaw to prevent Izel from possessing him again. Thanks to Izel being temporarily knocked out by Rodriguez wearing the same tech, Flint and his friends were able to escape through the temple's corridors, leaving Shaw behind to protect them from the numerous Shrike hosts who had begun to invade the temple.

Flint was taken to the Zephyr One, where he met with Piper. Impressed by the plane he had heard so much about, Flint was told that the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents would take care of him and treat his wounds, after which they could share the tacos Mackenzie had told him about in another timeline. Flint was then left in Piper's care, who took him inside a Quinjet to bring him to safety.[1]

Helping FitzSimmons and Enoch

Flint witnesses the return of some of his allies

While in the Quinjet, Leo Fitz, Jemma Simmons, and Enoch suddenly appeared inside. Enoch told Piper to turn the ship around, and Simmons further clarified that they needed to go back to Zephyr One. Once the Quinjet landed, Flint recreated a piece of the Time Di'Alla and gave it to Fitz. Enoch thanked Flint and told him and Piper that they would be right back. Fitz, Simmons, and Enoch ran to the Zephyr and took off.

A few minutes later, Flint and Piper heard the Zephyr landing. They turned to find Fitz and Simmons, wearing different clothes, brining down a Containment Module. Flint asked how the module got there so fast while Piper asked if they were messing with time again. Simmons quickly explained that Piper and Flint needed to guard the module with their lives, offering anything they wanted in return. The two agreed and stood outside the module, preparing to open the module by sunrise if Simmons was not back by then. Fitz stepped into the module. The Temple was soon destroyed by Sibyl, who was aiming for the Zephyr. Fortunately, the Zephyr traveled back in time, and the module's time machine was also activated, sending Fitz to an alternate 1983, when Simmons would complete the machine needed to send him there.

Flint and Piper, however, were unaware of this and did not know of Fitz's disappearance. When yet another version of Fitz and Simmons appeared, Flint questioned how they were doing that. Piper asked how Fitz got out of the module and opened it, revealing an empty space. Confused, Piper accused the two of having them guard the module for nothing. Fitz corrected Piper, saying that they had been guarding their everything. Piper and Flint followed Fitz and Simmons to the back of the module, where Simmons opened the door to reveal Alya Fitz.[3]

New Life

Flint and Melinda May prepare for the class

"You done finally? We're five minutes late to class."
"You're late. I'm giving the lecture. That's not late. That's dramatic."
―Flint and Melinda May[src]

By the next year, Flint was enrolled at the Coulson Academy as he lived his new life on Earth. One day, he noticed Melinda May outside, using hologram technology to communicate with her former team. When she removed the device from her temple, Flint told her that she was late to class. May turned around and jokingly corrected him, saying that, since she was giving the lecture, it was dramatic. Flint laughed, and the two then headed to class together.[3]

"I thought your friends would bring me the monoliths. Instead, they brought me you. You can build them."
Izel to Flint[src]

Just like the real Flint, the recreation of Flint also possessed the original Flint's powers, which the latter obtained by undergoing Terrigenesis.

  • Earth Manipulation: Flint possessed the ability to manipulate may different types of Earth rocks as he was able to telekinetically create a miniature stone spear and launch it a Izel's eyes hoping to kill her, but she stopped it. Izel later possessed Flint's body and used his powers to recreate the Di'Allas.
