Kamran is the son of Najma and a former member of the Clandestines. His devotion to the Clandestines' goal to return to the Noor Dimension was challenged when he met Kamala Khan who was supposed to play an essential role in their plan. Finding out that the Earth plane would not survive the process, Kamran turned against his mother and sided with Khan. When Najma sacrificed herself to close the portal, Kamran was exposed to residual energy from the Noor Dimension that activated his power to control the Noor, similar to Khan, which resulted in him being hunted by Damage Control. With the help of Khan and her friends, Kamran managed to avoid the pursuit and get away from the United States of America with the Order of the Red Daggers' help.
In 2025, Kamran and his mother moved to Jersey City, New Jersey. He transferred over to Coles Academic High School as a senior. That fall, he ran into Kamala Khan in the hallways while trying to get to his class. Later that day in the cafeteria, Kamran walked past Zoe Zimmer and her friends when she asked him if he was a new senior. She then invited him to a party she was having in which he agreed to attend.[1]
Kamran attended Zoe Zimmer’s party at her house. While there, he took advantage of the swimming pool and jumped off the diving board. Upon getting out of the pool, he was met by Kamala Khan, Bruno Carrelli, and Nakia Bahadir. He told Khan she was standing on his shirt before introducing himself to them. Suddenly, police sirens sounded outside in the front yard, ending the party.
Kamran offers a ride
Kamran offered to drive Khan, Carrelli, Bahadir, Paul, and Miguel away. As he drove them away, he bonded with Khan about similar interests. He parked outside the Circle Q and exchanged numbers with Khan, before saying goodbye to them. Later that night, he texted Khan asking if they could do driving lessons the next day.[1]
The next day after the school day was over, Kamran waited by his car for Kamala Khan. When she came over, he smiled at her. He then let her go to the driver's seat and he hopped into the passenger seat. Khan drove them into the city and parked on the street nearby the Bombay Spice Restaurant.
They went inside the restaurant and sat by the window, where they discussed Kingo and his plays as well as theirmothers liking him. Suddenly, Khan put the menu against the window and told him to hide his face as she had seen her brother. However, he and his fiancé came inside and found them. Khan told her brother that Kamran was their cousin, but he questioned Kamran's British accent, but Kamran covered it by saying he binged an English show. After he and his fiancé left, Kamran and Khan ate dinner and he then took Khan home.[1]
A few nights later, Kamran and his mother arrived at the scene where the United States Department of Damage Control agents were trying to take Kamala Khan into custody. When she fell onto the street, he pulled up and opened the passenger door for her. She hopped inside, surprised to see him, and he sped off. As he drove, he introduced her to his mother and Khan was surprised that he seemed to be fine with her wearing the Captain Marvel cosplay suit.[1]
Kamran then took Khan and his mother to Aadam's house where Khan was introduced to the rest of the Clandestines. As they talked, Kamran soon realized the true intentions of the group. This greatly concerned him.
Realizing that his mother and the others wanted to take Khan's bangle by force to return to their dimension, he decided to betray them. He located Khan at Aamir Khan's wedding and managed to warn her about the Clandestines.
When they arrived, Kamran confronted his mother and asked her to stop. She refused and moved away from him. Kamran then joined Bruno Carrelli in trying to keep them away from Khan. As Kamran dueled ahainst Saleem, he fell onto the next level and became unconscious momentarily. When he woke, Damage Control agents, led by Sadie Deever, had arrived in search for Khan. They instead took him and the Clandestines into custody.[2]
Kamran and the Clandestines were then transported to the Damage Control Supermax Prison in California. As they walked through the prison while being handcuffed to a pulley system, Kamran and the others took a chance and tried to fight back against the prison guards. They were successful and made an escape.

As they maneuvered their way through the prison and found a more clear escape route, Najma told the others to leave Kamran behind. His mother approached him and stated that since he had betrayed them and their mission he would be left behind. Kamran then watched as his mother turned around and escaped with the others.[3]

Kamran's powers are activated
Unbeknownst to Kamran, his mother sacrificed herself to close a passage to the Noor Dimension, she also transferred her Noor to Kamran, which combined with Kamran's sleeping Noor, triggered the activation of his latent powers. Kamran had been able to escape the Damage Control Supermax Prison and found another set of clothes to wear. As he was walking down an alleyway, his powers activated. He then found a way to return to Jersey City to get help.[4]
Frightened by his newfound powers, Kamran sought the help of Bruno Carrelli and found him in the alley by Circle Q. Kamran explained he was escaping Damage Control, in which Carrelli agreed to help. He then took him back to his apartment where he said he would be safe. Kamran then decided to start their relationship over and learned that Carrelli's name was Bruno and not Brian, in which he apologized for getting the name wrong.
Moments later, Kamran then sensed he had been followed and saw a drone hovering by the window. Startled by it, Kamran fired a blast of Noor energy at the drone to fend it off and ended up exposing his newfound powers to Carrelli's surprise. The drone fired back, ultimately destroying the Circle Q and the apartment. Kamran and Carrelli managed to escape the explosion and fled the scene.
Kamran and Carelli fled by train, where Kamran inadvertently began creating "hard light" constructs. When they saw that Damage Control agents, led by Agent Barrie, had found them, they began walking fast throughout the train cars. At one point, they bumped into a man, who angrily shoved them. Kamran accidentally reflected energy constructs through the train window, and they were able to get off and escape.
They managed to get away from the Damage Control agents and arrived at the Islamic Masjid of Jersey City where they met with Nakia Bahadir. She told them she had been worried
about them since the explosion and told them to go to the school since it would be closed due to it being a Saturday. She then led them to Abdullah who helped them escape, providing baseball caps for them.
They left and came across an alleyway, in which Kamran needed to rest. While there, they met with Kamala Khan, who was in her new suit. Due to Noor's unstable nature, lack of experience and his body's ineptitude, Kamran lost control of his powers and released countless blasts of energy destroying and throwing things at random. Carrelli and Khan both helped Kamran.[5]
"Kamala, look around. They're never going to accept me, and they'll never accept you either. My mom was right. This isn't my home." "But she saved it for you. In her last moments, she sent everything she had to protect you. She chose you."
Khan then said that Kamran needed to leave the city urgently. As they ran through town, they arrived at school. Khan told Kamran that he would leave through the harbor and that the Order of the Red Daggers gave him a place to stay, which he admitted he didn't like. They then went inside the school and found Bahadir. As they talked in the hallway outside the lockers, Zoe Zimmer rushed up to them, offering to help due to Khan saving her life.
Khan then brought them into a classroom and made a plan on how to get Kamran safely to the harbor and stop Damage Control. As Khan gave them instructions, Aamir Khan walked in suddenly. He told Khan that he had been sent to check on her and then greeted Kamran, deducing he wasn't actually their cousin.
Kamran disguised
As part of the plan, Kamran, Zimmer, Bahadir, Aamir, and Carrelli put on a matching sweatshirt hoodie to confuse the agents. When the agents first walked in, Kamran called out to them from the second level, before running away.
Kamran and Khan met up and as he started feeling pain from his powers, she helped him into the guidance counselor's office and set him down. As they hid together, they held hands causing their hard light to glow together. Kamran told Khan he would always be there for her and they were about to kiss, when Carrelli walked in.
He warned them that agents were coming and together, they ran elsewhere. As they ran through the hallways, Kamran asked Khan what had actually happened in Karachi and deduced that his mother had died. Khan explained that she had tried to kill her, but in the end had sacrificed herself to close the rift between the Noor Dimension and theirs.
Kamran uses his powers
As they ran into a bathroom to hide, an agent crashed through the window. Kamran used his powers to attack the agent, but Khan used hers to protect the agent as Kamran's powers were unstable. The blast from this caused them to crash violently backwards.
Kamran and Khan then made another escape behind a wall as agents came down the hallway. Angry about what was going on, Kamran came out and used his powers to attack them. He threw hard light at the lockers, causing them to topple over onto each other in the agents' path. As they pursued, Khan attempted to stop him from seriously hurting them, forcing him to flee from her.
Kamran is confronted by Sadie Deever and other agents
Kamran then ran outside and found himself confronted by Sadie Deever and the Damage Control unit. Deever and Barrie told him to stand down, but he refused. They then fired a bullet at Kamran, but Khan leaped out of a window and put up a hard light shield. She struggled to keep it up, and it was shattered when Deever ordered the Stark Sonic Cannon to be fired upon them. Kamran and Khan were sent flying backwards as a result.
Kamran uses his hard light to protect himself
Kamran got back up and joined Khan in fighting against the agents. He used his powers to shoot at them from the ground, such as emitting hard light out of his foot. He also used his combat skills and slammed an agent into the Humvee containing Carrelli, Bahadir, Zimmer, and Aamir.
After Deever and the agents failed to back down, Kamran lost his temper and released an enormous energy blast that sent hard light constructs everywhere. While the constructs stopped Deever and the agents, it also became harmful to everyone else present. Distraught at what happened, Kamran fell to his knees.
Khan managed to reach him and created a hard light bubble for her and him to be in together. He told her that he wasn't normal, but she reassured him that there was no normal. She also revealed Najma's true intentions by sacrificing himself for him. Khan then used her powers to punch a hole in the street that led to the sewer. Kamran thanked Khan and descended through the hole.[5]
Kamran is a gentle albeit somewhat awkward teenager. Having spent most of his life moving around due to his mother being the leader of the Clandestine, Kamran's social skills are rather lacking, he also mistook Bruno's name as "Brian" multiple times. Kamran was very close to his mother, firmly believing that her desperation to return the Clandestine to the Noor Dimension was for the better and supporting her plans, he was also visibly hurt when Najma left him behind during the Clandestine's prison break and later refused to believe that Najma had just abandoned him.
Kamran's initial interest in Kamala Khan seemed to be only at Najma's instructions as part of her plans, but he quickly grew fond of her and developed feelings for Kamala, to the point he defended her against the Clandestine when they attempted to kill her. Upon obtaining his own Noor Dimension powers, Kamran was initially confused and afraid at his inability to control the Noor and the knowledge that Damage Control was hunting him down and putting his new friends in danger, insisting that they should leave him behind. Kamran opted to trust Kamala and follow her plan to smuggle him out of USA to seek refugee with the Order of the Red Daggers.
Kamran took a turn for the worse when he found out Najma had died in her failed attempt to open a rift to the Noor Dimension, he angrily lashed out at Damage Control using his powers in a very aggressive way causing more destruction and mayhem, even putting civilians in danger during his brief rampage. Kamala's reassuring words however helped him calm down and understand that Najma's death was one of a loving sacrifice to save him despite her terrible actions, with that Kamran was prevented from becoming a violent distrusting person like Najma was.
Hybrid Physiology: As a hybrid, Kamran is capable of performing feats greater than an average human. He is also capable of manipulating the energy from the Noor Dimension after Najma passed her power onto him before her death.
Enhanced Durability: During Zoe Zimmer's party, he belly flopped into her pool, but showed no discomfort from the impact and walked out unharmed. He also remain unharmed after falling from a second floor during the fight with the Clandestines; though he was left unconscious.
Noor Manipulation: After the veil to the Noor Dimension was briefly opened, Kamran absorbs some of the dimension's essence and his mother's Noor he is granted the ability to manipulate hard light without a bangle. Due to his lack of experience and the unstable nature of his Noor abilities, Kamran is prone to releasing bursts of destructive uncontrollable hard light. According to Kamran, the unstable hard light that his body releases causes him physical pain. Unlike Kamala Khan's purple and pink hard light, Kamran's is green and yellow.
Energy Constructs:
Kamran creates constructs with "hard light"
He is able to construct a fist made of hard light, and later blast a hard-light construct at one of Damage Control's combat drones. In contrast to Kamala Khan, who uses hard light as an extension of her limbs, Kamran predominantly uses hard light as sharp constructs that destroy objects in the area and directly injure his aggressors.
Superhuman Strength: He can summon immense strength through his physical constructions of hard-light such as his fists.
Force-Field Generation: He can create force-fields to protect himself and others.
