Fenghuang or Fènghuáng (Mandarin: 鳳凰), also known as Phoenixes, are mystical creatures from the realm of Ta Lo.

Fenghuang were among the creatures researched by Xu Wenwu while on his search for Ta Lo. They lived peacefully there, flying above Shang-Chi, Xu Xialing, Katy Chen, and Trevor Slattery as they entered Ta Lo and drove toward the Ancient Village.[2]
Characteristic Traits[]
Fenghuang resemble phoenixes as they have long fiery wings that include flames along with an orange glow. They also have talons and beaks similar to that of Earth's birds.[2] They are known for their loyalty and compassion. They are occasionally depicted as carrying scrolls as a form of sharing knowledge.[1]

- In the comics, the fenghuang were identified as phoenix-like beings native to the extradimensional realm of Ta Lo.
Behind the Scenes[]
- In a deleted scene, a flock of Fenghuang participated in the Battle of Ta Lo, being led to the scene by Trevor Slattery and Morris. The flock attacked the Soul Eaters, killing many of them, and thus cleared a path for Katy Chen to shoot the Dweller-in-Darkness in the neck with her arrow.
