Ruler of the Dark Dimension[]
The Faltine were a powerful race of magic users presumably native to the Dark Dimension which was ruled over by the most powerful Faltine Dormammu. Dormammu's goal was the complete assimilation of the entire Multiverse. To this end, he would invade other universes and absorb them all into the Dark Dimension.[1]

Doctor Strange summons the Flames of the Faltine to battle Gargantos
Part of the Faltine's power could be accessed by the Eldritch Magic spell known as the Flames of the Faltine.[2] Doctor Strange conjured the spell while fighting Gargantos in New York City, summoning a handful of green flames to weaken the creature.[3]

In an alternate 2017, the Faltine Dormammu's assault on Earth was thwarted by Doctor Strange.[4]
