Fairies are a race that live in the Treasureyard of the Wolves in Asgard. Part of the Asgardian Virtue Challenge is to overcome illusions of fear projected by fairies.
History[]
Fairies resided in the Treasureyard of the Wolves in Asgard and had the ability to cause people to see their worst fears. They used this ability annually as part of the Virtue Challenge, in which Asgardian youth tried to prove their valor. The fairies would send illusions of the participants' fears, which each participant had to overcome to retrieve a bone from the Treasureyard of the Wolves.
In 1521, Thor, Sif, Loki, Brunok, Siegrold, Hilda, and the Warriors Three competed in a Virtue Challenge as a friendly competition. When Thor, Sif, and Loki entered the Treasureyard of the Wolves, the fairies showed them each illusions of their fears. Sif saw herself alone and separated from her friends, Loki saw himself and the others dying because of his actions, and Thor saw himself getting ridiculed for his failures.
Thor managed to overcome the fairies' illusions and helped Loki and Sif to do the same. Brunok, Siegrold, Hilda, and the Warriors Three each had similar experiences when in the Treasureyard of the Wolves.[1]
Abilities[]
Fairies have the ability to project illusions of people's fears into their minds.
