The Eyes of the Dragon are a set of emerald pendants that were given to Shang-Chi and Xialing by Ying Li. They were used to reveal the safe passage into Ta Lo.

Passing the Legacy[]
While Ying Li was still raising Shang-Chi and Xialing, she gave both Eyes, as pendants, to her children, reminding them of their family's legacy.[1]
Attack on Shang-Chi[]
Shang-Chi's Eye was tracked down by the Ten Rings, where Razor Fist, Gao Lei, and multiple Ten Rings operatives confronted Shang-Chi in order to steal his Eye. Not giving in, Shang-Chi fought back against Razor Fist on the bus, revealing to Katy Chen about his true identity. During the fight, Razor Fist stole Shang-Chi's Eye, which Shang-Chi noticed in the aftermath of the fight.[1]
Attack on the Golden Daggers Club[]
The Ten Rings managed to track Xu Xialing's Eye at the Golden Daggers Club, launching an attack on the club after Xialing revealed that she had not sent a letter of her address to Shang-Chi. In the aftermath of the attack, Xialing's Eye had been taken by Death Dealer as Xu Wenwu captured his children and Katy Chen.[1]
Family Reunion[]
Dragon is completed.
Having finished their reunion dinner, Xu Wenwu explained that he could hear his deceased wife Ying Li from the Dark Gate at Ta Lo, though Shang-Chi told him that it was not possible. Wanting to prove him wrong, Wenwu brought Shang-Chi, Xialing, and Katy Chen to the headquarters' courtyard, where Wenwu placed the Eyes on a dragon head bust.
Magical Map is revealed.
Using the Eyes, Wenwu told Shang-Chi that in order to reach Ta Lo, they had to follow a specific path in the forest maze that guarded the dimension's entrance, showing a model of the path made of water. After explaining to them, Wenwu ordered his warriors to prepare an attack on Ta Lo, though this was refuted by Shang-Chi.[1]
Capabilities[]
The Eyes of the Dragon are capable of revealing the safe pathway of Ta Lo, though it could be only be shown after they are inserted into the dragon head bust, through creating a magical water-map that lays out the patterns of the maze while its doing its job.
