Excalibur

Excalibur is an ancient fabled sword which was owned and used by King Arthur. It eventually fell under Makkari's ownership, who allowed Thena to wield it in combat.

History[]

In ancient history, Excalibur was wielded by King Arthur of Britain, and became famously associated with him long after his death.

By 2024, Excalibur had found its way into the possession of the Eternal Makkari, who had added it to her vast collection of artifacts and trinkets aboard the Domo. When the other Eternals returned, Thena took possession of the sword, with Sprite mistaking it for the Ebony Blade.[1]

Capabilities[]

Excalibur is a legendary straight double-edged longsword with a cruciform hilt and a segmented grip for two handed use that can be can be wielded just like other longswords. The blade is designed for slashing and thrusting and is capable of piercing armor.

Trivia[]

  • In the comics, Excalibur is a magical medieval sword wielded by Sir Percy, a distant relative of Dane Whitman.
  • In Arthurian legend, Excalibur is the magical legendary sword of King Arthur that granted its wielder the rightful sovereignty of Britain.
