Hong is gunned down during gang violence

Following the arrest of Mariah Dillard by the New York City Police Department for all of her crimes, the gang violence erupted in Harlem as the different criminal groups attempted to take control of Dillard's territory now she was locked up within Ryker's Island. As the violence continued to erupt, Hong was gunned down and killed in the streets.[4]

Despite the death of his brother Peter, Eric showed himself to be an effective replacement as head of the Korean Mob. He also showed caution when meeting Mariah Dillard, and he reminded her the last time they met, Peter was murdered by an assailant. He was also willing to make a peaceful alliance with the criminals, showing that he wanted a balance in Harlem's criminal spots.
