Entropy came into existence at the dawn of time along with Eternity, Death, and Infinity.[1]
The walls of the Temple Vault on Morag displayed Entropy, Infinity, Death and Eternity surrounding the Infinity Stones.[2]

- In the comics, Entropy is one of Eternity's children. He is part of a trio consisting of Explosion (represents the Big Bang), Gravitation (represents the Big Crunch), and Entropy (represents the Big Freeze).
- Entropy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe appears to have replaced Oblivion in the classic quartet of Eternity, Infinity, Death, and Oblivion. In the comics, Entropy is a minor character who only appeared in a single comic story prior to Guardian of the Galaxy's release.
