Entropy came into existence at the dawn of time along with Eternity, Death, and Infinity.

The walls of the Temple Vault on Morag displayed Entropy, Infinity, Death and Eternity surrounding the Infinity Stones.

• In the comics, Entropy is one of Eternity's children. He is part of a trio consisting of Explosion (represents the Big Bang), Gravitation (represents the Big Crunch), and Entropy (represents the Big Freeze).
  • Entropy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe appears to have replaced Oblivion in the classic quartet of Eternity, Infinity, Death, and Oblivion. In the comics, Entropy is a minor character who only appeared in a single comic story prior to Guardian of the Galaxy's release.
