Energy Bolas are a weapon used by Star-Lord during the Quest for the Orb.
History[]
Peter Quill used this weapon when he was attacked by Gamora, who attempted to steal the Orb from him. Quill quickly took out a pair of energy bolas and threw them at Gamora, briefly incapacitating her. She freed herself from them and continued the fight against Quill.[1]

Capabilities[]
- Binding: The energy bolas are an oval artifact that releases an energy cord to bind a target's legs. Proximity sensors on the item's shell activate next to the target once the activation button has been pressed and the weapon has been thrown.
