This is a timeline of events which occurred at the End of Time.

End of the Multiversal War[]

  • The Tree Amigos

    Kid Loki's Crew

    Loki wakes up in the Void, having been pruned by Ravonna Renslayer, where he is quickly found by four variants of himself: Classic Loki, Boastful Loki, Kid Loki and Alligator Loki, who promptly tell him that he is not dead, but will soon be unless he comes with them.[3]
  • Classic Loki quickly introduces the place they are as the Void, and the threat of Alioth, in order to get Loki move quickly.[4]
  • While on the run, Loki attempts to ask his variants about their plan, which they simply state is not to die. Angrily, Loki stops his variants and asks again about their plan and his need to find a way to return to the Time Variance Authority Office.[4]
  • Kid Loki threatens Loki to stop complaining or Alioth would be alerted of their presence, and the variants start explaining Alioth's nature, and how it makes sure that the branched realities send there are consumed.[4]
  • Classic Loki

    Classic Loki speaks about his past

    The Lokis explain that it is their nature to survive, and having already tried many plans to escape, they are just focused on surviving. Loki also learns that Kid Loki is the king of the Void and respected by the others, given that his nexus event was that he killed Thor.[4]
  • Loki follows his variants to the Loki Palace to find shelter and start to make a plan. He also gets to know better his variants, with Boastful Loki explaining how he claimed the Infinity Stones, and Classic Loki how he survived his encounter with Thanos for years until he went to find Thor.[4]
  • Loki reveals his intention to find a way to kill Alioth, prompting the other Lokis to laugh, so he decides to leave the Loki Palace alone.
  • Sylvie wakes up in the Void, having pruned herself to find Loki, and is immediately attacked by Alioth. Mobius M. Mobius arrives in a car and rescues her, managing to escape from the creature.[4]
  • Ambush at the Loki Palace:
    • As Loki is about to leave the palace, he finds an army of variants of Loki, led by President Loki, that invade the palace in order to claim it.[4]
    • Boastful Loki reveals that he revealed their location to President Loki, betraying Kid Loki, in order to claim the throne for himself. However, President Loki betrayed Boastful Loki to claim the throne for him given that it was his army. In turn, the army betrayed President Loki.[4]
    • Journey Into Mystery

      President Loki in Loki Palace

      Alligator Loki attacks President Loki and bites his hand off, with the different members of the Loki army fighting themselves.[4]
    • Loki, Classic Loki, Kid Loki and Alligator Loki escape from the palace through a portal.[4]
  • Outside, Loki finally convinces them to help him return to join Sylvie in her mission to stop the TVA, while Sylvie convinces Mobius to taker her back to Alioth as the only means to escape.[4]
  • The Lokis witness how Alioth consumes a recently pruned ship while Loki explains his plan to kill it, and Loki realizes his easy plan to sneak from behind would not work.[4]
  • Sylvie and Mobius arrive to the place where the other Loki variants are, and she explains her intentions to use the enchantment to pass beyond Alioth and find the founder of the TVA.[4]
  • The group gets inside a fallen structure and Mobius talks with the Loki variants about his role in the TVA, dealing with Lokis in the past, and his plan to expose the truth about the TVA.[4]
  • Journey Into Mystery 04

    Loki and Sylvie Laufeydottir talk

    Loki and Sylvie talk about their time together and the nexus event they caused on Lamentis-1, and keep bonding with Sylvie admitting his faults and how he had betrayed everyone in the past, but insisted that he had changed when Sylvie wondered if he would betray her. Loki proposed her to find together what they would do next.[4]
  • The group gathers before Alioth and Sylvie reveals her plan to approach the creature and use the enchantment. Loki tells Sylvie he will stay with her. Kid Loki gives Loki his sword to help him, and the variants depart. Mobius opens a Timedoor with the TemPad that Sylvie had brought in order to return to the Time Variance Authority Office and destroy it.[4]

The events continue on the Time Variance Authority Office
  • Infiltration into the Citadel at the End of Time:
    • Loki and Sylvie approach Alioth and, as no branched timeline appears, Loki uses the Laevateinn to distract Alioth while Sylvie attempts to enchant the creature. However, Alioth turns his attention to Sylvie and attempts to kill her.[4]

      Classic Loki creates illusions

      Classic Loki creates a full-sized illusion of Asgard to help them, saving Sylvie, and giving them time to enchant Alioth together while he is distracted trying to swallow the illusion.[4]
    • The illusion starts to fall apart as Classic Loki gets exhausted, and sacrifices himself to buy as much time as possible, finally claiming that this sacrifice was his glorious purpose.[4]
    • Alioth then tries to attack Sylvie and Loki, but the enchantment is finally completed, and Alioth reveals the Citadel at the End of Time beyond the Void.[4]
  • Attack on the Citadel at the End of Time:
    • Loki and Sylvie reached the Citadel at the End of Time, and while they hesitated on how to proceed, the doors opened and they were let inside.[1]
    • Miss Minutes greeted Loki and Sylvie, who explains that He Who Remains is the one who created everything and is at the end of everything, and that he wants to offer them a deal, returning them to the timeline without damaging it and letting them live their lives.[1]

      He Who Remains

      Despite being tempted by the offer, Sylvie dismissed it as fictional and Loki stated they were rewriting their fate, so Miss Minutes angrily left and the couple proceeded further into the Citadel.[1]
    • He Who Remains arrived to a hall through an elevator and was amazed at the notion that Loki and Sylvie were technically the same person, and invites them to his office.[1]
    • In the elevator, Loki is stunned that He Who Remains is simply a man, and Sylvie tries to kill him, but He Who Remains keeps using his own special TemPad and jump through time to avoid the attacks.[1]
    • He Who Remains offered Loki and Sylvie some tea, and explains that he has seen and knows everything, allowing him to avoid their attacks, and having witnessed their entire lives, including the moments in Lamentis-1 that the TVA does not know about.[1]

      The Lokis listen

      He Who Remains continues explaining the need for him and the TVA in order to avoid destruction, with the truth about the Multiversal War being caused by his own variants, and how he found Alioth and used it to end the war and isolate the Sacred Timeline, avoiding the creation of new branched timelines through the use of the TVA.[1]
    • He Who Remains offers them two options, one to kill him and therefore free his variants that will likely set off another Multiversal War, or for both to take his place and rule over the TVA, as he is old and tired, and has deemed them the most adequate ones to replace him, even though they all have made horrible acts in the past.[1]
    • He Who Remains realizes they had crossed the threshold and now he does not know what is going to happen, and the branches of the timeline start to grow.[1]
    • Sylvie rushes to attack He Who Remains, but Loki stops her saying he believes all of what He Who Remains said. He Who Remains urges them to hurry, as the timeline is already branching, but Sylvie believes that Loki just wants the throne and rule over the TVA. As Loki promises it is not a desire to rule, and is hurt by Sylvie's distrust.[1]
    • Loki and Sylvie fight each other, and Loki prevents Sylvie from killing He Who Remains, only wanting her well-being. Sylvie kisses Loki, but she pushes him through a Timedoor using the TemPad and kills He Who Remains, who taunts her one final time.
      • Sylvie's Magic Blast

        Sylvie Laufeydottir blasts Loki

        Loki time slips here from the moment where he failed to fix the Temporal Loom at the Time Variance Authority Office, and first tries to prevent Sylvie from killing He Who Remains to save the Multiverse, attempting to prevent it multiple times.[5]
      • He Who Remains pauses time to talk to Loki, revealing that his Time Slipping was also something he had facilitated. But Loki was also aware of that, and had already mastered the power to pause time. He Who Remains reveals that the Temporal Loom's true purpose is to overload in a case of excess of branches, leaving only the Sacred Timeline, while destroying the Time Variance Authority as a collateral damage.[5]

        The Multiverse expands

        He Who Remains warns his variants have been already unleashed, and while Loki vows to stop them even though they are too many, he is also aware that one way or another, he has already lost. Presented with a choice to either destroy the loom and let another Multiversal War to erupt, or leave it to do its work and protect at least the Sacred Timeline, Loki says that he will find another option, and leaves while letting Sylvie to finish him.[5]
    • As the Multiverse starts to expand, Sylvie leaves the Citadel with He Who Remains' TemPad to a branching timeline.[1]

  • Skeleton He Who Remains

    He Who Remains' corpse

    Ravonna Renslayer is sent by Sylvie to the Citadel at the End of Time, which is now crumbling with He Who Remains' corpse rotting on a chair. She calls Miss Minutes for help, and she tells her about knowing a secret from Renslayer's past that will piss her off.[6]
  • Miss Minutes recreates a recording of the final days of the Multiversal War, where He Who Remains congratulates her on her role in commanding his armies, and promises her to rule the Time Variance Authority together, only for him to order Miss Minutes to erase Renslayer's and everyone else's memories.[2]
  • As Renslayer realizes she had been doing what He Who Remains wanted, she starts to put together a plan with Miss Minutes to take over the TVA, as they do not need him to succeed, and leave through a Timedoor to enact their plan at the Time Variance Authority Office.[2]

New Multiverse[]

  • A rift is opened by Loki from the remains of the Temporal Loom, and he passes through it while grabbing all the timeline branches.[5]
  • Destiny Fulfilled

    Loki watches the Multiverse

    Loki ascends to the remains of the Citadel at the End of Time, while powering all the dying timeline branches that start to be woven around his hands and cape. Sitting down on the throne he finds at the end of the stairwell, Loki pulls all the branches together, creating a new loom with him at the center, and shaped like the world tree Yggdrasil.[5]
  • Loki remains in his throne sitting alone for all time, having achieved the burden of his glorious purpose, to save and protect the Multiverse.[5]
