- "I came to get the stone 'cause I want to be rid of my dad, my stepmother, all of this for good."
- ―Elsa Bloodstone to Jack Russell[src]
Elsa Bloodstone is the estranged daughter of Ulysses Bloodstone; who dislikes her father's tradition of hunting monsters. After her father's death, she intruded into a gathering of monster hunters competing to inherit the Bloodstone during which she befriended fellow participant Jack Russell.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
- "When I was a kid, my dad told me stories about my crazy Aunt Frances. He said if I misbehaved, she would unlock her tomb and come out and pull me in there with her for company."
- ―Elsa Bloodstone to Jack Russell[src]
Elsa Bloodstone was born to Elise and Ulysses Bloodstone. She was raised in her father's house. She grew up hearing stories from her father about her aunt; who had passed away before her birth. She also grew up learning about monsters, her father's crusade against them, and a supernatural relic in; which he was in possession of. With her father deeply preoccupied; with his crusade, she became close with her mother and both disliked his crusade.[1]
Estranged From Father[]
In 2005, her parents divorced due to this, and she left with her mother, estranging herself from her father. Sometime after, she opted to become a skilled combatant and was trained to become one.[1]
Reclaiming the Bloodstone[]
Returning to Bloodstone Manor[]
- "Elsa, after 20 years, I hope you didn't feel obligated to come."
- ―Verussa Bloodstone to Elsa Bloodstone[src]
In 2025, Bloodstone learned about her father's death and returned to Bloodstone Manor with the sole purpose to reclaim the relic. Upon arriving, she was confronted by her stepmother, who questioned why she had come. She then entered the main room and pulled up a chair, loudly, to sit by her father's monster hunting cabal. She listened as her stepmother presented a puppet of her father who instructed them with a monster hunt in order to reclaim the Bloodstone. She remained silent and followed the cabal outside to the grounds.[1]
Meeting Jack Russell[]
- "Well done, Elsa. I'm Jack, by the way."
"Okay, Jack. Just blow the wall and I'll get him to you."
"I trust you…"
"We're good, just get me the stone." - ―Jack Russell and Elsa Bloodstone[src]
Bloodstone then proceeded to enter the monster hunt and walked into the grounds where it was happening. As she made her way through, she ran into Jack Russell. Russell told her he could just walk past her, in which she replied that she was confused by what he said. She then pushed him aside to safety as Joshua Jovan attacked them. She knocked Jovan to the ground with her combat skills and stole his axe. She then ran off.
Bloodstone came across another opening and peered inside it, only to be attacked by Liorn. She engaged in a fierce fight, with her becoming injured in the leg in the process and her successfully defeating Liorn. When Azarel appeared, Bloodstone quickly rolled herself and Liorn into a gravesite and held her hand against his mouth, ultimately cutting off his life support. Once Azarel left, Bloodstone left her position and went inside the tomb.
As she tried to bandage her leg up, Russell appeared inside the tomb and closed it before she could tell him not too. She and Russell then sat together and agreed to help each other. She told him she wanted the Bloodstone and he asked for her help in freeing his friend. She then remembered her aunt's tomb contained a key to escape in it. She explained how her aunt had believed she would always come back to life. Bloodstone then acquired the key and freed herself and Russell.
Bloodstone followed the plan and found Man-Thing. She approached him cautiously and called him by his real name, making him realize she was good. She told him she was sent by Russell. Suddenly, Jovan returned to attack her, but Man-Thing killed him instantly with acid. Bloodstone then led Man-Thing to the wall where Russell was to set the explosive. After the wall exploded, Man-Thing ran off, and Bloodstone quickly retrieved the Bloodstone off of him. She was relieved only to see her stepmother and the rest of the cabal arrive. Bloodstone, along with Russell, was then knocked unconscious.[1]
Obtaining the Bloodstone[]
- "I just wanted to make myself available to you."
"Brilliant. You can start by cleaning all this shit up." - ―Billy Swan and Elsa Bloodstone[src]
Elsa woke up in a cage along with Jack Russell. Elsa backed away from him, knowing he was going to rip her apart. Russell assured Elsa that they could get out of this as he was a Werewolf and had five days until the next full moon.
However, it did not matter to Elsa, who told him that they could use the Bloodstone to turn him in seconds. Russell approached Elsa and started sniffing her. He explained that he would hopefully recognize her scent and not kill her. Suddenly, Verussa Bloodstone walked in. She lifted her mask and chanted in Latin. This set off a beam from the Bloodstone that hit Russell, eventually transforming him. Elsa hid herself, scared to see Russell transform in front of her eyes.
Russell was able to break out of the cage and attacked the men. Elsa followed him and grabbed a sword as Barasso attacked her. She blocked his attack and then got him to fall on the ground before slicing his neck. Suddenly, Azarel sneaked up from behind. Elsa fought Azarel, who was using a chain hammer. Elsa deflected the weapon into the cage before slicing Azarel's neck and chopping her head.
Elsa turned around to see Verussa attacking Russell. She used her grappling hook to pull Verussa towards her, knocking her out. She then slowly approached Russell, picking up the Bloodstone. However, Russell attacked Elsa. She fell onto the ground with Russell on top of her. Before killing Elsa, he paused, recognizing Elsa. He looked at her shocked before running away.
Elsa got up and turned around to see Verussa cursing her out. She told Elsa that she would die as she lived, a disappointment. Before Verussa could shoot her shotgun, Man-Thing dropped in from the ceiling and grabbed Verussa, incinerating her. Elsa looked at Sallis and told him Russell was gone. Man-Thing then ran out to get to Russell. Elsa casually walked back into the main room where Billy Swan greeted her, vowing loyalty. Elsa simply told him to clean everything up. She then sat down, looking at the Bloodstone.[1]
Personality[]
Elsa is a woman who is the complete opposite of her father, Ulysses Bloodstone. She deeply disliked his father's attachment to monster hunting practices, and eventually left her family because of the strained relationship between Elsa and her father. Despite leaving her father and step-mother, Elsa sees the possession of the Bloodstone as her birthright and went back to join in the fight to obtain the relic. She did not reconcile; with her father and step-mother even after Ulysses' death, showing how she deeply hated her father and her step-mother.
Elsa is extremely loyal towards both of her allies and friends alike, as seen; when she made peace; with Jack Russell; when he proposed an alliance between the two of them. She then helped Russell in freeing Man-Thing and helped defend Jack against other monster hunters; who were intent on killing them. She also started to trust Jack after their encounter in the tomb.
But Elsa Bloodstone can be very brutal towards her enemies, as seen; when she violently killed Liorn, Barasso and Azarel respectively; without hesitation.
