Elihas Starr was the husband of Catherine Starr and the father of Ava Starr, He was also a scientist who worked with Hank Pym and Bill Foster. He accidentally killed himself and his wife during a quantum experiment that caused Ava's unstable state.

Biography

Elihas Starr was the partner to Hank Pym and Bill Foster who together worked on harnessing the powers of the Quantum Realm. Elihas was a complicated person as while he cared for his wife, Catherine, and daughter, Ava, he wanted more and plotted to steal Pym's plans to work on the Quantum Realm. However, Pym found out and fired and discredited him forcing him and his family to go into hiding.

Sometime later, Elihas managed to recreate Pym's Quantum Realm plans, however he clearly was not as smart or patient as him as the device overloaded and threatened to explode. Elihas ordered Catherine and Ava to flee, but Ava decided to stay with her father as she did not want him to die alone. Catherine came back to grab her, but it was too late. Elihas and Catherine perished in the explosion while Ava miraculously survived albeit with powers.[1]

Personality

While Elihas was a kind and caring family man, he clearly wished for greatness which unfortunately ended up being his undoing. While not stated outright, it is implied that he simply wanted a better life for Catherine and Ava and was willing to steal from his partner to achieve it.
