Elektra Natchios is an acrobatic vigilante with twin sai who was romantically involved with Daredevil. They both were eventually banished to the Void by the Time Variance Authority, who deemed their efforts to try to save their dying universe an act of disallowed resistance. In the Void, Elektra and Daredevil became members of the Resistance, trying to escape the Void by defeating Cassandra Nova, who killed Daredevil. However, Elektra eventually avenged him when the Resistance, with the addition of Deadpool and Wolverine, defeated Nova, allowing her to return to her home universe.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Vigilante[]
Trained as an assassin with a proficiency with sai, Elektra Natchios became a costumed vigilante, going simply by "Elektra." She encountered another vigilante known as Daredevil, and the two fell in love and became partners.[2]
Banished to the Void[]
Encounter with the TVA[]
At some point, Elektra encountered the TVA, who informed her that her universe was dying and that it could not be stopped. Elektra wanted a chance to save her world, so she resisted the TVA, but they did not tolerate this and banished her to the Void. Daredevil was also sent to the Void, and the two of them were able to avoid being eaten by Alioth.[2]
Joining the Resistance[]
Elektra and Daredevil came across a group of other heroes who had survived in the Void from Alioth. However, the wasteland was ruled by the mutant Cassandra Nova, who forced those trapped in the Void to work for her. This group of heroes, including Blade, Gambit, X-23, Human Torch and Punisher, rebelled against Nova and formed a Resistance, hiding out in the borderlands and trying to figure a way out of the Void. The Resistance spent years in hiding, and any attempt they made to fight Nova only ended in defeat, with Daredevil being one of the casualties.[2]
Meeting Deadpool and Wolverine[]
X-23 came across an unconscious Deadpool and Wolverine close to the borderlands, so she brought them to the Resistance Hideout. Elektra went to check on the two new arrivals, but Deadpool tried to attack her when she entered the room, so she blocked his sword with her sai and threw him to the ground. Deadpool stood down and watched as Blade and Gambit joined them.
Elektra introduced herself to Deadpool, who revealed that he and Wolverine had been trying to find the Resistance. Elektra stated that there was one more of them, and X-23 entered. Deadpool then asked how they got stuck in the Void, so Blade and Elektra explained that the TVA sent them there after they refused to let their respective universes die. Deadpool expressed his desire to join their team, revealing that he had been inside of Cassandra Nova's compound, and that she could get them out of the Void.
The Resistance was doubtful of Deadpool's story, with Gambit noting how other members had died when going up against Nova, mentioning Daredevil, which Deadpool gave his condolences for, but Elektra had moved on. When Human Torch's status was brought up, Deadpool revealed that he knew him, making the Resistance members wonder how. Wolverine stated that Deadpool was responsible for getting him killed, although Deadpool played it off as if he did not.
Using Human Torch's death as a motivation, Deadpool told the Resistance that they could still make a difference and save his world, but Elektra did not care about Deadpool's world. However, she was intrigued by the two of them escaping Nova's compound, making her want to get in there and finally defeat Nova, although Gambit thought it was a bad idea. Deadpool noted that if they could block Nova's telepathic powers, they could stop her, so Elektra brought up that Juggernaut's helmet could work.
Elektra expressed her frustration with spending her life hiding, and suspected that the world she came from had probably forgotten about the hero that she was. Not wanting that to be her reality, Elektra suggested to Blade, Gambit and X-23 that working with Deadpool and Wolverine could be all of their chances to finally be remembered the way they deserved and get their proper ending. Blade supported the idea, and Deadpool became excited by the heroes coming around to his plan, although Wolverine felt they would all die.[2]
Getting an Ending[]
The next day, the Resistance, joined by Deadpool and Wolverine headed out to make their assault on Cassandra Nova's compound. Elektra drove the team in Old Betsy, and as they approached, Blade equipped an AT4, which Elektra told Deadpool was owned by the Punisher.
After blowing up the entrance to the compound, Elektra drove the team inside, where they were quickly surrounded by all of Nova's henchmen. The team got out of the minivan and stood together before all of their enemies. Wolverine reiterated his belief that they were all going to die, but they assured him that so long as he and Deadpool got inside to Nova, they would recover Juggernaut's helmet and bring it to them. Elektra also added that they would get their ending, too, in the fight.
The two sides then charged at each other and commenced the battle, with Elektra killing several of the henchmen, as well as facing off once again with Bullseye. The Resistance pushed forward so that Deadpool and Wolverine had a path to get inside, and Elektra was able to kill Quill. Once Deadpool and Wolverine were inside, the Resistance guarded their entrance and continued fighting, and were able to steal Juggernaut's helmet and get it to them. Despite being greatly outnumbered, the Resistance managed to eliminate nearly all of Nova's henchmen.
However, as Alioth began to close in on the compound, the Resistance briefly lost the upper-hand in the fight, as Elektra had her leg sliced at, as well as the other members taking damage. The Resistance were able to defeat the last of the henchmen, with Elektra killing Bullseye. Having won the battle, the four looked up to see Deadpool and Wolverine jump through an Inter-Dimensional Portal, successfully escaping from the Void.[2]
Returned Home[]
Although they were all prepared for the battle at Cassandra Nova's compound to be the ending to their story, thanks to Deadpool and Wolverine saving the Multiverse, the former made a request to B-15 to return the members of the Resistance to their homes. B-15 honored the request and Elektra, along with the rest of her team were freed from the Void.[2]
