Electrochron Displacement Mechanism is a device used by Chronicoms to regulate energy stability. For Chronicoms, it is analog to a human heart.
History[]
All Chronicoms were created with an Electrochron Displacement Mechanism that keeps them alive, acting in ways analogous to a human heart. When Zephyr One got stuck in a time loop as a result of their Time Drive breaking, Enoch sacrificed his Electrochron Displacement Mechanism in order to allow Deke Shaw the chance to stop the time loop and save the ship. This resulted in Enoch's death, although the Displacement Mechanism successfully repaired the Time Drive.[1]
Capabilities[]
The Electrochron Displacement Mechanism is capable of keeping Chronicoms alive throughout their long lifespans. Chronicoms are dependent on them in a similar way to humans being dependent on their hearts.
It is also capable of powering other types of machines, such as the Phase Harmonic Teleportation Device aboard Zephyr One.
