S.O.E. Recommendation[]
- "This is a rare chance for you to strike a massive blow for King and Country."
"Yes, sir, I will discuss it with my fiancé, but I'm afraid I'm simply not cut out for that kind of work." - ―Edwards and Peggy Carter[src]
Edwards was the leader of the pool of code breakers in Bletchley Park during World War II. One day, he received a letter from the Special Operations Executive, requesting that Peggy Carter join the organization.
Edwards had Carter leave from among the other young ladies as they discussed Carter's recent engagement to give Carter the letter and request that she take the offer seriously. Carter was hesitant, deciding that she needed to talk first to her new fiancé before making the life-altering decision.[1]
