Echo was an agent of Anvil who was tasked by Billy Russo and William Rawlins to assassinate Gunner Henderson, only for him to lose his life during the battle against Henderson and Frank Castle.

Having been hired by Billy Russo and William Rawlins to assassinate Gunner Henderson, Echo initially led their Anvil team into the woods in Kentucky, where they had tracked down Henderson. However, as the team were moving in on their target, Henderson fired an arrow which struck Echo in the chest, killing him, while Rawlins continued watching from Echo's body camera.[1]
