William Kaplan[1] was born and raised in Eastview[2] by his parents, Jeff and Rebecca Kaplan for thirteen years.[1]
Two police officers from the Eastview Sheriff's Office, including Sheriff Miller, went to the outskirts of Westview, where they met with FBI agent Jimmy Woo and explained that they were not aware of a town named Westview. They later reiterated this to S.W.O.R.D. agent Monica Rambeau and told her where they were from before returning to Eastview.[3]
Kaplan and his family had his Bar Mitzvah until William's father got an update on the Westview Anomaly and told everyone to go home. When the Kaplans were on their way home, they saw the Hex shrinking, which distracted them from the road. William cried out to his mother that a car was approaching, and they accidentally drove off road trying to avoid it, and crashed, taking William's life, and and allowing his body to act as a vessel for Billy Maximoff while his parents went to look for police help. They found it in Alice Wu-Gulliver who told them to stay put for the ambulance.[1]
