Eagly[1] is a bald eagle who was imprisoned in Arête Laboratories by High Evolutionary.

Eagly escapes from Arête Laboratories
Eagly was captured by the forces of High Evolutionary and taken to Arête Laboratories, where he was imprisoned alongside many other animals for the purpose of experiments to create a "perfect" species. He and the other animals were later freed by the Guardians of the Galaxy when they attacked the faciliity and defeated the High Evolutionary, and were later allowed to live free on Knowhere.[2]

- Eagly was created by James Gunn for the DC Extended Universe production Peacemaker, in which he is the pet and sidekick of Christopher Smith/Peacemaker. Gunn was asked on Twitter if the eagle seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was a reference to Eagly and confirmed that it is in fact Eagly himself.[1]
- Eagly is the second character that James Gunn has given a cameo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after creating them for a production set outside the franchise, with the first being the Worms from Slither.
