History

Attack on the S.H.I.E.L.D. Science and Technology Pavilion‏‎

The EMP Blaster was constructed by S.H.I.E.L.D. in conjunction with Stark Industries. Multiple versions were created, including the Mark I-B, the Mark II-J, the Mark VI-R, and the Mark VII-Alpha.

Arnim Zola used his Swarmbots to try to access S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Data Core and steal S.H.I.E.L.D. data. In response, Leslie Lam instructed a set of recruits to ride several Daggers equipped with two Mark VII-Alpha EMP Blasters to aid Ant-Man and the Wasp in fighting the Swarmbots, being guided by Lam's S.H.I.E.L.D. Drone. The recruits utilized the EMP Blasters to short out several of the Swarmbots and the central Hivebot, stopping Zola's attack and protecting the Data Core.

The EMP Blasters were designed to non-lethally disarm electrical equipment and weaponry with an electromagnetic blast.
