The Duel in Wilson Fisk's Dungeon was a brief fight between Wilson Fisk and Adam that was instigated by the former.

Adam is held in captivity by Wilson Fisk

While Wilson Fisk was away from his wife Vanessa, she began to feel lonely and abandoned. She soon met Adam, a talented artist, and the two began a sexual relationship. However, at the end of 2026, Wilson returned and discovered his wife's infidelity. In response, he kidnapped Adam and imprisoned him in a dungeon.

Wilson Fisk provokes Adam into fighting

One night, Wilson Fisk approached Adam in his cell and informed him that Vanessa Fisk most likely wanted her husband to free Adam, although that was a difficult decision. Wilson explained that he and Adam were now connected due to their shared sexual experiences with Vanessa. He also recalled how, in his boyhood, he fought boys much bigger than him and found that a simple tool often evened the playing field.

Adam tries and fails to axe Wilson Fisk

Wilson suddenly threw the axe into Adam's cell, indicating that he wanted Adam to fight him. Grunting angrily, Adam scooped up the axe and charged at Wilson, missing both of his swings and being punched onto the ground. Recovering from the attack, Adam picked himself up and swung at Wilson again, but his bigger opponent grabbed his weapon and broke it in half before brutally headbutting Adam.

Wilson Fisk yells that Vanessa Fisk is his

Seething, Wilson grabbed Adam and slammed him onto a table. He then brought both his fists down onto Adam and punched him repeatedly in the face, while Adam could do nothing but wail as his blood splattered on the floor. Wilson launched Adam into the brick wall before grabbing his head and slamming it into the wall, knocking Adam unconscious. Wilson screamed that Vanessa was his and dragged Adam's unconscious body back into his cell.

Aftermath

Adam is shot and killed by his former lover

Wilson Fisk sat in Adam's cell and contemplated his actions as his prisoner laid unconscious, eventually coming to the decision to show Vanessa Fisk what he had done to Adam. Wilson brought his wife down to the dungeon, where she saw her former lover caged like an animal. Wilson gave her the choice to either free Adam with the key or kill him with a pistol, and despite Adam's pleas, Vanessa reaffirmed her loyalty to and love for Wilson by shooting and killing Adam.

Behind the Scenes

• Wilson Fisk yelling "Mine!" at Adam was improvised by Vincent D'Onofrio as he felt the scene needed more drama. He also suggested that Fisk slam Adam's head into the wall one last time before dragging him into the cell, which made it into the final cut.
