Kree Invasion[]
When Drax's homeworld was attacked by Ronan the Accuser, Drax and his wife and daughter were saved by Star-Lord.[1]
Meeting his Hero[]
While working as a bartender of Contraxia, Drax met Star-Lord, and took a picture with him and thanked him for saving his homeworld. He then sent the picture to his wife and daughter.[1]

In contrast to his mainline counterpart, Drax is notably far more happy and cheerful due to his wife and daughter remaining alive thanks to T'Challa saving them from a Kree invasion.

- Unlike his main universe counterpart, Drax is not called "the Destroyer" due to Star-Lord saving his planet from Ronan the Accuser's attack.
Behind the Scenes[]
- Following the announcement that Fred Tatasciore would voice Drax in What If...?, Dave Bautista stated that Marvel Studios didn't ask him to reprise the role.[2] Upon becoming aware of this, Brad Winderbaum assumed that there was some miscommunication between Marvel and Bautista's agent.[3]
