The Dragon Scale Armor are armors created by the Ta Lo's natives with the scales given by the mystical dragon, the Great Protector.
History[]
Creation[]
Following a battle between the Dweller-in-Darkness and the Great Protector, a group of people set up a village in Ta Lo. The Great Protector gifted its scales to its citizens for the creation of armor and weapons. Ying Li had armors made for her children, Xu Shang-Chi and Xu Xialing, in the event that they go to Ta Lo.[2]
Battle of Ta Lo[]
Xu Shang-Chi and Xu Xialing went to Ta Lo, where Ying Nan gifted the pair with armors made of dragon scales. Along with the Ta Lo Armed Forces, they wore their armors when Xu Wenwu led his army into Ta Lo, preparing for battle. While Xialing, Ying, and Guang Bo led the army against the Ten Rings, Shang-Chi dueled his father, and gave Shang-Chi control of his Ten Rings which granted him immortal life, which Shang-Chi wore along with his armor. They continued to wear the armor after the battle was won and as they mourned their fellow soldiers.[2]
Capabilites[]
Due to it being made of Dragon Scales, the armor is shown to be an incredibly durable armor as Shang-Chi was able to withstand and survive a hit from the Ten Rings. Like all Dragon Scale items, the Dragon Scale Armor was infused with the power of the Dragon Scale making it more powerful and giving it the enhanced ability to harm and kill Soul Eaters. However, despite being made of dragon scales it does not protect the user from the Soul Eaters ability to drain souls.
