The Dora Milaje are an elite group of female warriors and Wakandan special forces.
History[]
American-Wakandan War[]
The Dora Milaje on the Wakandan border were approached by Erik Killmonger who brought the body of Ulysses Klaue and claimed to be the son of Prince N'Jobu. Killmonger was escorted by the Dora Milaje to the Citadel for an audience with the Golden Tribe. Killmonger informed them that the United States military was intending to invade the country with the battalion of Stark Liberator Drones. T'Chaka ordered the Dora Milaje and the Border Tribe to line up at the border under Ramonda's command to fight off the Liberator Drones.
Upon T'Chaka's order, the protective barrier was opened, letting the Drones to enter Wakanda but once the barrier closed again, the Drones' signal with J.A.R.V.I.S. was disrupted. However, the Liberator Drones reactivated again, so Ramonda ordered the Wakandan army to take them down. With Killmonger joining the battle, the Dora Milaje and the Border Tribe managed to eliminate all Liberator Drones, stopping the American invasion.[1]
Eventually, it was revealed that Killmonger was manipulating both Wakanda and the United States of America into the war with each other and usurped the throne. Together with the group of Dora Milaje, Shuri and Pepper Potts rushed to the Citadel to confront Killmonger where he escaped them, however, once they arrived, he was not there. Unknown to them, Killmonger had been taken from their world by The Watcher to be recruited as a member of the Guardians of the Multiverse to stop Ultron, a task which led to Killmonger never coming back to his world.[2]
