Donya Madani was a woman who supported Karli Morgenthau after the Snap. After contracting tuberculosis while living at the Latvian GRC Resettlement Camp, she passed away.
Biography[]
Donya Madani survived the Snap and took in people who were orphaned, including Karli Morgenthau. Morgenthau and other survivors came together and became close, and several people came to see her as a maternal figure.[3] After the Blip resurrected the victims of the Snap, people who survived were sent out of their home countries and put in resettlement camps and repurposed buildings by the Global Repatriation Council,[4] causing a group of people to form the Flag Smashers, hoping to return the world to its state before the Blip.[1]
Madani developed tuberculosis and was dying, prompting Morgenthau to ask Wilfred Nagel if he could do anything to help Madani, but Nagel was not interested. Madani lay in her bed several days later as Morgenthau sat over her and succumbed to her tuberculosis.[4] A funeral was held for her and attended by many people. After the funeral, Sam Wilson attempted to talk Morgenthau out of her mission until they were interrupted by John Walker.[3]
