Donny Blaze is a magician who studied under the Masters of the Mystic Arts. After being kicked out of Kamar-Taj, he became a performer at the Mystic Castle in Los Angeles, where he used a Sling Ring to open Inter-Dimensional Portals to send attendees either across the country or to other dimensions. As a result, he was targeted by Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, who hired She-Hulk to represent him in a legal case against Blaze. After accidentally transporting demons to Earth, Blaze asked Wong for help and agreed to sign a cease and desist.
When Blaze returned home to Los Angeles, he started doing magic shows with his friend, Cornelius P. Willows. During one show, he turned white roses red, but got no reaction. Wanting a better audience, he asked a woman named Madisynn King to come up. He then used his Sling Ring to send her through a portal, getting a lot of awes from the crowd.[2]
Blaze was soon met by his former teacher, Wong, who was angry and wanted Blaze to stop doing magic. The two butted heads as Blaze argued that magic was not trademarked. He then heard She-Hulk's phone go off with the Matcher ding, causing him to make fun of her. Since he did not sign Walters' cease and desist, they took him to court.[2]
Blaze arrived at court as the two sorcerers argued their sides. When Wong claimed his shows were not real magic, but the Mystic Arts were, Blaze stood up and asked if his show was real magic. He then threw a smoke bomb on the groun, while he quickly changed clothes. His lawyer and Cornelius P. Willows showed their magic as well. Wong then brought Madisynn King to be a witness. Afterwards, Judge Hanna stated that as of now, she was siding with Blaze. An excited Blaze exited the room by flipping Wong off.[2]

Returning to his shows, Blaze sent Kaylah through a portal. A week later, he asked another woman, Amberleigh, to step up. However, she refused to go through the portal as she said her friend Kaylah did it. Blaze then desperately summoned a bird, which laid an egg in the girl's hand. Suddenly, the egg hatched and out came a demon. Blaze and everyone else ran in fear.
Blaze portaled to Wong and told him he needed help. Wong did help, but stated it was for the good of the world, not because of him. Blaze then called She-Hulk twice, but got no answer. She-Hulk finally arrived as Blaze and Cornelius P. Willows crawled on the ground. As they took care of the demons, She-Hulk held one in front of Blaze, saying that he should sign the cease and desist. Blaze said maybe, but eventually gave in.[2]

Magic: During his time in Kamar-Taj, Donny learned the use of magic, although he is less experienced than other mages he is capable of performing some feats.
Using a Sling Ring, Blaze is able to open portals that lead to different locations.
Dimensional Travel: Using the same Sling Ring, Blaze can travel between different dimensions of the Multiverse, crossing over different planes of existence or traveling across various forms of reality.
Conjuration: Blaze is able to conjure things. He was able to conjure a white dove in one of his performances.
Kamar-Taj: Blaze was briefly trained by the Masters of the Mystic Arts at Kamar-Taj. He summoned several kegs, as well as his friend Ky-Dog, to the training grounds, prompting Blaze to get kicked out.
Mystic Castle: Blaze performed a series of magic shows at Mystic Castle using his Sling Ring. He was approached by Jennifer Walters and Wong with a cease and desist, which Blaze and Cornelius P. Willows refused to accept. Blaze continued to perform his acts until he accidentally caused a demon attack, which Walters and Wong stopped, convincing Blaze and Willows to agree to the cease and desist.
