Biography[]
Danny Rand's Return[]
Business Conflicts[]
When Danny Rand was integrated into the company, Ward Meachum set up a business meeting to talk about the Leishmaniasis cure. Rand joined and immediately argued that the cure should be made at cost and they shouldn't profit off of it. Despite the disapproval of everyone, they had to comply.[1]
Later, Danny Rand promised Regina Fitzgerald that he would make things right after she claimed that her son got cancer because of a Rand power plant. This forced the company to make decisions. Ward announced they weren't settling in the lawsuit and they were going to fight it. They shareholders got mad, saying it wasn't in the best interest of the company, but Joy Meachum backed Ward up saying he had never let the company down.[2]
Removal of the Meachums[]
With a defiant Danny Rand taking control over business decisions and unwilling to take back his prior actions, Hooper and others had an emergency meeting and came to the unanimous vote to boot Rand and the Meachums from the building.[3]
This vote, however, was reversed when he and others were informed of the suicide of Lawrence Wilkins, forcing them to bring Joy Meachum, Ward Meachum, and Danny Rand back to operating business.[4] Months later, Hooper and Rand were in good terms as the latter had Hooper's phone number marked as favorite in his phone contacts list.[5]
