- "This isn't love. Look at this. This is arrogance. This is our need to fix everything. It's what drove us to study the mystic arts in the first place."
- ―Doctor Strange to Strange Supreme[src]
Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange M.D., Ph.D. was the Sorcerer Supreme of the Masters of the Mystic Arts and master of the New York Sanctum born through a time paradox. He was separated from Strange Supreme by the Ancient One and was tasked with stopping him from breaking an Absolute Point. He was ultimately defeated and absorbed into the corrupted Strange.
Biography[]
Accepting the Pain[]
- "Enough living in the past for one evening."
- ―Doctor Strange[src]
This Doctor Strange was created when the Ancient One used magic from the Dark Dimension to split Strange Supreme into two people, with the corrupted Strange traveling centuries into the past.
Unlike his other self, Strange resisted using the Eye of Agamotto in order to find a way to reverse Christine Palmer's death. Both halves of Strange would be oblivious to the other's existence for the time being, simultaneously co-existing in the same timeline and universe.

Strange and the Ancient One talk
On his way out of the New York Sanctum, he noticed that his reality began collapsing as the Ancient One opened a portal behind him. She greeted Strange, telling him that his other half was the cause of the corruption and that she used the Dark Dimension's power to split the timeline. She warned him that if his other self reversed Palmer's death, it would cause the end of the universe and told Strange that he was the only one to stop his corrupted counterpart.

Strange with Wong
Back at the Sanctum, Strange and Wong prepared for the upcoming battle as Wong cast a protection spell on Strange. Wong questioned Strange's resolve, reminding that he was once in love with Palmer. Strange answered he had to stop his counterpart, at the very least to save Wong. Suddenly, the two noticed a portal forming underneath Strange as Strange fell in and was trapped by his corrupted counterpart.[1]
Confronting His Other Half[]

Strange meets his other half
Being confronted by his corrupted counterpart, Strange told him that they could not save Christine Palmer and that reality was falling apart, though Strange Supreme did not believe him. Disgusted at what his other self became, Strange asked if he could save her, but he was grabbed by Strange Supreme as the two traveled to moments after the accident.

Strange fights his other half
Strange Supreme told Strange that it was possible to resurrect Palmer, but Strange kept warning him of the consequences, telling him that his actions came from arrogance. Angered, Strange Supreme tried to absorb Strange, but could not due to the spell protecting him. Shortly after, the two began fighting as Strange blocked Strange Supreme's attacks. They duelled each other until Strange believed that he stopped his other self.

Strange is absorbed by his other half
However, Strange Supreme pulled him in and posed as Palmer. Strange Supreme tried to persuade Strange into staying with him, but remembering what was happening to the rest of reality, Strange said that she was not real. Breaking out of the illusion, Strange Supreme slammed Strange into the ground and broke his protection spell. Afterward, Strange Supreme absorbed Strange as reality fell apart.[1]
Personality[]
Unlike his other half, Strange was able to accept the loss of Christine Palmer and being responsible for the protection of the entire universe. When confronted by the corrupted Strange, he recognized that his urge of fix things was nothing more than arrogance.

Behind the Scenes[]
- Doctor Strange's death at the hands of Strange Supreme was originally much more gruesome, as it involved having Doctor Strange getting beaten to death by his counterpart with the Eye of Agamotto. However, the storyboard artist decided to make the scene more fantastical and not "horrifically violent".[2]
