History[]

Human Mythology[]

"The Clandestines are not like the Djinn you've heard about in stories or in religious texts. I mean, if Thor landed in the Himalayan mountains, he too would have been called a Djinn."
Waleed to Kamala Khan[src]

In human mythology, the Djinn are supernatural beings of pre-Islamic folklore. They had many names across time and cultures, including genies and demons.[1] When the Clandestines were exiled to Earth from the Noor Dimension and arrived in Asia, they were believed by the local populace to be Djinn due to their supernatural existence.[2] A legend about their exile was eventually recorded as a Djinn tale.[1]
