The District 27 West Side Station[1] is an LAPD police station in Los Angeles.

History

Having discovered that her parents, along with the rest of PRIDE, were criminals, Nico Minoru went to the police station to report what she had witnessed. She was joined by Alex Wilder, who had initially been reluctant to come with her but had decided that he could not let Minoru go through this alone. The two teenagers told an officer that they wanted to report a murder, and waited for Detective Flores to be available. However, they spotted him with Robert Minoru and Victor Stein, thus hinting at his role in being on PRIDE's payroll, and thus decided to leave the station without telling him about what they had discovered.[2]

Days later, after the Runaways fled from PRIDE and the LAPD was instructed by PRIDE to find them, Flores called the members of PRIDE, believing that his men had arrested the teenagers. A crowd of journalists promptly gathered outside the precinct, trying to interview the members of PRIDE, with only Frank Dean taking some time to answer their questions. Flores then led PRIDE to the room where the teenagers were kept, but it turned out that they were not the Runaways and simply regular teenagers dressed to look like them. Enraged by this failure of the LAPD, PRIDE stormed out, leaving Flores humiliated.[3]

Geoffrey and Catherine Wilder were briefly detained at the police station after Alex framed them for murder during the Chase of the Runaways. They were soon visited by their lawyer, Londell Kendricks, so he could get them out. Eventually though, Catherine decided to confess to the murder of Darius Davis and take responsibility for the charges, a decision she informed her husband about as they talked alone in a room at the police station, thus enabling Geoffrey to be released from jail while Catherine was sent to the Los Angeles Women's Penitentiary.[1]
