The Destroyer is an enchanted Asgardian automaton that Loki used when he traveled to Earth.
History[]
The Destroyer was sent as part of Loki's Asgardian army to Earth. The Automaton remained still as Loki unleashed the power of the Casket of Ancient Winters, and gave his ultimatum to Nick Fury.
The Destroyer is approached by Nick Fury
The Destroyer later stood guard outside Loki's newly constructed Ice Palace on Earth. Fury drove up to the palace, and approached the Destroyer, asking it if it had a name. The Automaton gave no response in words, though acitvated. Fury then informed it he was there to see his boss. The Destroyer would then take Fury to Loki.[1]

The Destroyer was a remotely controlled armor that could fire powerful energy blasts out of the "mouth" of the armor.
