In 1942, Najma, Aisha, Fariha and Saleem find a bangle on a Kree corpse in a temple in British India. They are from a different dimension and want to use it to get back. Aisha reminds them that they need to find two. She puts it on and feels the power run through her. They heard the British Army above and had to separate. Aisha left with the bangle, but they never saw each other again.
In present day, Najma and the other people from the 40s explain the story to Kamala Khan. Khan and Najma separate from the group and Khan thanks Najma. Khan second guesses having the bangle, but Najma talks to her saying that it's a great gift. Najma explains that they are from the Noor Dimension and they are known as Clandestines or Djinn. However, those names were only given to them and not their true species. The next morning, Khan talks to Bruno Carrelli and asks for his help. Meanwhile, Sadie Deever meets with Abdullah telling him that they need to search the area. Nakia Bahadir interrupts them saying that they need a warrant.
Kamala watches her trending video on TikTok when Bahadir walks into her room and slumps onto her bed. She complains about Damage Control barging in. Bahadir then changes the subject and announces that she won that board election. Kamala hugs her as a congratulations. Later at Aamir's wedding party, Muneeba tells Kamala that Carrelli left a box for her. Abdullah sees her outside and she talks to him about Night Light and if people think she is a good person. When he is gone, Kamala opens the box and sees a domino mask.
Yusuf meets with Carrelli at Circle Q. Carrelli looks through magazine and books and asks Yusuf about the Djinn. Yusuf reads it and jokingly tells Carrelli that he hasn't heard about that in a while. He then leaves without further comment. After research, Carrelli informs Kamala that if she helps them get home, things could go bad. He then tells Kamala that he got into CalTech, but he won't go if she still needs his help. Carrelli tells her that they might need to wait on their plan. Kamala says that Carol Danvers wouldn't wait, but Carrelli tells her that Danvers is reckless. Kamala texts Kamran and tells him she wants to help, but it could be dangerous. Kamran reminds her to focus on the wedding for now.
Before the wedding, Aamir sits with Yusuf and informs him that he only has $732.49 in his checking account. Yusuf tells him not to worry, he will be fine after grad school. Yusuf gives him a touching speech about how he is brave, Kamala overhears this. Abdullah then pronounces Aamir and Tyesha Hillman as husband and wife. Meanwhile, Kamran tells Najma it could be dangerous and she says of course it is. Kamran feels betrayed and asks if she knew and still asked Kamala. Najma says she is not asking anymore.
At the after party, Carrelli asks around, trying to get more knowledge of the culture. Yusuf, Muneeba, and Kamala take part in a dance for the bride and groom. Carrelli then joins in on the dance. Aamir is pulled out of his seat and dances center stage. Suddenly, Kamran arrives and forcefully asks Kamala to talk. He tells Kamala that she isn't safe and she has to get out of here before she gets killed. Kamala pulls the fire alarm as Najma walks in. Kamala is chased into the kitchen where she blocks many attacks with her constructs. Saleem is set on fire by the stove when they get into the kitchen. Outside, someone says they saw Kamala pull the alarm, this worries Yusuf and Muneeba.
Kamala hides from Fariha, but Najma shuts off the lights and pleads with Kamala. She hits a pan which causes a scared Kamala to set a construct, causing her to be found. She is chased into the dining room where she continues to blocks attacks. Before Saleem hits Kamala, Carrelli throws a present at him, but gets hit as well. Kamala then punches Saleem with a fist construct. Kamran helps Kamala as she takes the injured Carrelli out. As they walk out, Kamran is thrown off of a balcony and knocked out. Kamala and Carrelli find themselves cornered. Najma then touches Kamala's bangle which makes her see a train. Suddenly, Damage Control arrives and arrests the Clandestines, including Kamran. Kamala and Carrelli get outside, but Bahadir sees her use her powers. Feeling betrayed, Bahadir can't even look at Kamala.
Kamala returns home to her worried parents. They ask her to be honest and explain everything. Kamala simply tells them that she can't. In her room. she gets a call from Sana Ali, who tells her that she needs to come and see her in Karachi. Ali then asks if she saw the train. Confused, Kamala asks why. Ali responds saying that she saw the train vision too, and again expresses urgency at Kamala and her mother coming to Karachi.
