DeeDee was a super soldier and a member of the anti-nationalist group, the Flag Smashers.
Biography[]
Flag Smashers[]
Robbery of Gasel Bank[]
At the Gasel Bank, Karli Morgenthau provided masks for her Flag Smashers, including DeeDee, so that they could attack and rob the bank. Following the robbery, Dovich came down and subtly handed the bags of money to DeeDee and Gigi as they slipped into the crowd.[2]
Chase in Munich[]
DeeDee helped the Flag Smashers load boxes of vaccines into trucks. They then hopped in and started going. Suddenly, they were attacked by Falcon and Bucky Barnes. Karli Morgenthau threw Falcon over to DeeDee and Nico, who started beating him up. Captain America and Battlestar then arrived to help Falcon and Barnes. Walker threw his shield at DeeDee, making contact. DeeDee got up and charged at Falcon, who flew over a highway sign. DeeDee easily ran straight through the sign and pushed Falcon off of the truck. With the threats gone, the Flag Smashers drove away.[3]
Finding Refuge[]
The Flag Smashers arrived at a safe house run by a fan named Rudy. Inside, Rudy gave them beds and food while applauding them on their work. Karli Morgenthau then spoke up, giving everyone a chance to backdown as what they were going to do next was the point of no return. The group swore loyalty to Morgenthau and got ready to get to a plane. Once there, they saw Power Broker's men in the distance. Matias stayed behind, sacrificing himself so everyone could get away.[3]
Raid of the GRC Supply Depot[]
The Flag Smashers went to a Lithuanian GRC Supply Depot to raid it. DeeDee and the rest carried out tanks of supplies, exclaiming how many people could use the supplies. They then left once it was all loaded. Karli Morgenthau decided to blow up the depot before leaving so that she could send a message.[4]
Ambush at the Resettlement Camp[]
DeeDee and the Flag Smashers regrouped at a ruined building where they heard the news paint them as terrorists, especially highlighting the lives of the victims. However, they also gained more followers. Later, Karli Morgenthau tried to talk to Falcon, but was ambushed by him, Winter Soldier, Battlestar, and Captain America. DeeDee and Diego were able to knock out Battlestar and tie him up.
DeeDee and Diego then attacked Falcon and Captain America. However, Walker threw his shield at DeeDee, hitting her from behind before Falcon clipped her with his wings. DeeDee attempted to sweep Falcon's legs from under him, but he flew up. Falcon then blasted DeeDee with his trusters before kicking her over the table. Suddenly, Battlestar was killed, causing Walker to rampage through Nico, decapitating him.[5]
New Plans[]
The Flag Smashers returned to the camp to find that the Global Repatriation Council had raided the place, putting notice flyers everywhere. An angry and saddened Karli Morgenthau announced they were moving on in their plan. They all flew to New York City to stop the vote on the Patch Act, which would displace people even more.[6]
Attack on the GRC[]
Starting their final plan, DeeDee gathered with Gigi, Dovich, and Karli Morgenthau. Morgenthau talked about how it did not matter that they died because their movement was strong enough to move on. DeeDee was not very happy about this comment as Morgenthau was treating both herself and them as simple pawns. When Morgenthau concluded with their mantra phrase calling for a unified world, nobody responded. She repeated the phrase again and DeeDee finally answered first, saying "One People" back.
Going to the captives in a truck, Morgenthau knew they needed a diversion, so she told DeeDee to set fire to the truck, which she did. Suddenly, John Walker arrived, mad at Morgenthau. He threw his new shield at Walker, which Morgenthau promptly kicked. The Flag Smashers then attacked, repeatedly kicking Walker until he was on the ground. Morgenthau then pushed the truck off of a ledge, so Walker got up to stop the truck. DeeDee then ran at Walker and pulled him away, allowing the truck to fall. However, Captain America was able to save the truck from falling.[7]
Arrest and Assassination[]
- "Four members of the radical group, the Flag Smashers, were killed today in a car bomb attack as they were being transferred to a high-security prison. There are no suspects in the bombing."
- ―Radio Presenter[src]
With the battle nearing its end, the Flag Smashers walked through a tunnel to escape. They used the app to find the rendezvous and finally got there. However, John Walker and Bucky Barnes were there as they used the app to lure the Flag Smashers to the police. Now arrested, the Flag Smashers were brought into a truck where Oeznik blew them up, killing the Flag Smashers for good.[7]
