Trivia[]
- David Boyd directed the original fifth and sixth episodes of Daredevil: Born Again, and accepted the offer due to his positive experience of being the cinematographer for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode Pilot.[1] Boyd was fired when the series underwent a creative overhaul,[2] but was brought back to work on his footage during the overhaul. According to Boyd, half of his original footage was retained and he was brought back to direct new footage for the half that was to be overhauled;[3] Boyd then received directorial credit for the episodes Excessive Force and Art for Art's Sake. The reunion scene of Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle and Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock was directed by Boyd and intended to be in one of his episodes, but was instead used in the reworked fourth episode.[3][1]
- David Boyd previously worked with Jon Bernthal on The Walking Dead.
- David Boyd was a director on the DC Entertainment production Constantine.
