Torture of Alex Wilder[]

"Are you finally gonna do what we've been asking you to do? Or are you gonna stand by and watch your friends die? Punish the guilty, Alex. People call that justice."
―Darius Davis to Alex Wilder[src]

Davis was Alex Wilder's main jailor during the time the teenager was trapped in the Dark Dimension. Over the equivalent of six months, Davis kept Wilder prisoner in a cell and repeatedly torture him in an attempt to force him to kill a recreation of his mother. Wilder, however, always refused, forcing Davis to drag Wilder back to his cell and start all over again.

Davis eventually informed Wilder that the Runaways had entered the Dark Dimension to save him. He then had Wilder removed from his cell, and showed him footage of his friends fighting against a zombified Quinton the Great. Davis kept taunting Wilder, who grabbed him by his clothes and pushed him on a wall. Davis mocked his assault, claiming that his real personality was finally surfacing and encouraging Wilder to embrace the dark part that came from his parents.

Wilder, however, still refused to obey Davis' command. Davis insisted, stating that the Runaways would get killed if Wilder did not perpetrate the requested murder, and that he should carry out the deed at least to save his friends. This final argument worked on Wilder, who used a shiv given to him by Davis to murder the recreation of his mother. Davis then kept his word and made the soldiers attacking the Runaways disappear before letting Wilder go free to join his friends.[1]
