Taneleer Tivan is the keeper of the largest collection of interstellar relics in the galaxy, including mystical artifacts, which led to his moniker as the Collector. He was kidnapped from his own reality by Doctor Strange and kept in the Sanctum Infinitum until a riot occurred, leading to Kahhori sending him home.

Collector is imprisoned

Taneleer Tivan became knowledgable in the mystic arts and became a sorcerer. Eventually, he became trusted enough to be the stonekeeper for the Time Stone, housing the Eye of Agamotto around his neck. Suddenly, Strange Supreme arrived and imprisoned Tivan, claiming him to be a "universe killer". Tivan remained in an orb until Strange were to turn on the Forge and sacrifice him to recreate his own universe. However, Captain Carter was able to free Tivan and the prisoners, starting a riot. Tivan was soon transported back to his universe by Kahhori.[1]
