Coles Academic High School was established in Jersey City in 1979.[1]
Basketball Championships[]
Coles Academic High School won basketball championships in 2000, 2002, 2005, 2012, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024.[1]
Battle at Coles Academic High School[]
In June 2025, Coles Academic High School was the location in which Kamala Khan and her friends had their battle against Damage Control, led by Sadie Deever. Khan, Bruno Carrelli and Kamran escaped to Coles in order to hide from Damage Control and were joined by Nakia Bahadir, who made sure they weren't followed. As they made a plan in the hallways, Zoe Zimmer joined them, stating she had been filming her Tik Tok videos in the gymnasium. Khan organized a plan in a classroom and was startled when Aamir Khan suddenly appeared to help. After a plan was set in motion, Damage Control agents stormed the school, under Deever's orders. Zimmer then posted a video stating that Damage Control was attacking them and to come show support.[2]
