- "There's a lotta shitbags in the world, sir. Now there's a lot less of 'em."
- ―Cole North to Wilson Fisk[src]
Sergeant Cole North is a New York City Police Department officer and a member of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Originally from Chicago, North transferred to New York City, where he became an extremist cop who idolized Punisher. In 2027, prior to joining the task force, North killed White Tiger in the street following his acquittal in court. Upon Kingpin putting out a hit on Matt Murdock, North and the AVTF were sent to raid his apartment, where they were ambushed and taken down by Punisher and Daredevil, discovering North's role as White Tiger's murderer in the process. As the two vigilantes argued over whether to execute North, a grenade was thrown into the apartment. North was left behind, while Daredevil and Punisher narrowly escaped the apartment's explosion.
