- ―Agatha Harkness' Coven
Circle Sewn With Fate / Unlock Thy Hidden Gate is the second episode of the first season of Agatha All Along.
Synopsis[]
With old foes in hot pursuit, Agatha and Teen gather a desperate coven to walk the Witches' Road.
Plot[]
A tied up Billy Kaplan watches as Agatha Harkness scrambles around her house finding anything to wear and use. Kaplan uses the wall to peel off his duct taped mouth and blurts out that he wants Harkness to take him to the Witches' Road. Harkness stops dead in her tracks, intrigued. Harkness claims there is no road, but Kaplan sees through her lie.
Harkness argues with the teen about the road, saying it would kill him. Kaplan says it did not kill her to which Harkness says it is because she is exceptional. However, once hearing that Kaplan broke her out of the spell, Harkness became interested, which peaked when she found out that a sigil was blocking her from hearing information about Kaplan, including his name. They then decide to gather a coven of witches.
Their first stop is Madame Calderu's Psychic Readings. Harkness has Kaplan pay for the fortune teller, Lilia Calderu. Harkness then talks to Calderu about the Witches' Road, which Calderu refuses saying that no witch one join another like Harkness, who has a bad rap among witches for her past. Harkness then tries to persuade Calderu, talking to her about her powers and how she could be the old her again. Calderu still refuses, but uses her magic to write out a slip of witches that Harkness can use for her coven. Much to her surprise, the slip contains Calderu's name.
Following the slip, Harkness and Kaplan stop at Kale Kare, Jennifer Kale's shop. Harkness sways off the customers and talks to Kale, who is very annoyed with Harkness due to their past. Harkness just says they need potions witch to walk the road. Kale initially thinks Harkness is joking, but gets serious when she realizes Harkness actually wants to walk it. Harkness eventually convinces Kale by talking about how Kale was bound and could get her powers back.
The next stop was for the protector witch. At Westview Shopping Mall, Harkness tells Kaplan that their next witch, Alice Wu-Gulliver is a blood witch whose mother was the infamous Lorna Wu, who created a rendition of the Ballad of the Witches' Road, the song that opens the road. Once tracking Wu-Gulliver, the two distract and trick her into getting fired. Once Wu-Gulliver walks out, they approach her and talk to Wu-Gulliver, using the whereabouts of her mother to convince her because Lorna was said to be missing on the road.
At Agatha's house, an excited Kaplan decorates as he welcomes the witches. The group then realize they need a green witch. Upon seeing the slip has a black heart, Harkness realizes it is Rio Vidal and does not share this with the rest of the witches. Instead, she thinks on her feet and recruits the gardening neighbor, Sharon Davis. Now with the coven, the group go down to the basement to open the road. As they sing, Kaplan, who is upstairs, notices hooded figures down the road, which turn out to be the Salem Seven.
The Seven approach the house and break in, causing a frightened Kaplan to run downstairs and see that the road is opened. Hearing commotion of the Seven, the coven go through the door and close it, sealing them in. Now the only way out is to complete the road.
