"I didn't realize there'd be so many people."
"Oh, there always are. People come from all over for our Choctaw Nation Powwows."
Wilson Fisk and Chula Battiest[src]

The Choctaw Nation Powwow is an annual powwow hosted by the Choctaw.

Background[]

Every year, the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma holds a powwow. People from all over the country travel to Tamaha to participate in the powwow. In 2025, the powwow was hosted at Haskell County Fairgrounds and vendors were selected to participate. Advertising for the powwow was posted around Tamaha.[1][2]

Powwow[]

"Are you here for the powwow?"
"Yes. Yes, you could say that."
"It's a good thing you got here early."
Chula Battiest and Wilson Fisk[src]

The 2025 Choctaw Nation Powwow began during the day with locals such as Biscuits and Billy Jack working parking. The powwow was filled with many preformaces and vendors, all celebrating traditional native culture. During the middle of the powwow, an explosion was seen in the sky caused by Zane fireing his rocket launcher after being shot by Henry Lopez. The explosion was mistaken for a fireworks display by the powwow attendees. The explosion, as well as Maya Lopez's battle with Wilson Fisk attracted the attention of law enforcement.[3]

Aftermath[]

Before law enforcement arrived at the end of the 2025 Choctaw Nation Powwow, Wilson Fisk managed to flee Haskell County Fairgrounds. With the powwow over, the attendees returned home. After saving the powwow, Maya Lopez visited her family, and had lunch with Chula Battiest, Henry Lopez, Biscuits, Bonnie, and Billy Jack.[3]
