Maya Lopez confronts Wilson Fisk
During his visit to Tamaha, Oklahoma, Wilson Fisk stayed at the Choctaw Casino, waiting for Maya Lopez to decide whether she would join him in returning to New York City or not. At night, Lopez broke into his room and held Fisk at gunpoint, although he had anticipated her doing so. Unfazed by Lopez's hostility, Fisk reminded her that he always loved her no matter what and she never cared about all the crimes she commited on his behalf, while Lopez argued that Fisk only used her for his benefit and never truly cared about her. Fisk lashed out at her in response but admitted that he did fail Lopez, in the same way as hiw own father failed him. He then showed Lopez the hammer that he used as a child to kill his father as his father would abuse Fisk's mother.
Lopez was appalled to hear that Fisk killed his own father. Fisk then gave her the hammer, urging Lopez to do the same and kill him so both of them could be free. Not finding herself able to kill him, she put the hammer down, after which Fisk told Lopez that he considered their squabble concluded and expected her to be at his private jet the next day. Lopez then left Fisk's room.[1]
