The Chase of the Maggia Weapons Transport was the successful interruption by Iron Man of a transport of Stark Industries-produced weapons.
Background[]
Iron Man had a change of heart regarding his habits of selling weapons to the enemy. Therefore, he halted all manufacturing at Stark Industries, angering the Maggia, who tried to steal weapons from the company. In retaliation, Stark went out to destroy all of his weapons, including ones owned by the Maggia. James Rhodes soon found out and decided to help.[1]

- "Destroy the facility when the vehicles are clear."
"Sir?"
"You got a hearing problem? Don't worry, we can always get more volunteers, heh?" - ―Whiplash and Maggia Soldier[src]
Iron Man traveled to a Maggia base to stop a transport of weapons. With James Rhodes in his ear, Stark went on to attack the vehicles. However, Rhodes reminded him that many of the workers were hostages.

To stop the transport, Stark took down the control centers. Suddenly, Stark connected to Maggia communications and heard Mark Scarlotti telling his men to kill the factory workers when they were done. Finally, Stark managed to be able to speak in the channel and contacted Scarlotti, who was angry at Stark as he was a former Stark Industries employee whom was fired. The two attacked each other, which Scarlotti using whips. However, Stark soon killed Scarlotti, ending the transport.[1]
Aftermath[]
Iron Man attacking Nefaria Compound

"Stark weapons are off the market. All of them." - ―James Rhodes and Iron Man[src]
In his next attack, Iron Man took on the Nefaria Compound, which was a primary headquarters of the Maggia. This angered Whitney Frost, who had a past with Stark. Nevertheless, Stark blew up the compound, forcing them to retreat to their last base, the Flying Fortress.[1]
