However, they were also assaulted by Quake, who destroyed their engine, forcing them to stop. Believing to have seen her, Scott fired at a shop's window, but he ran out of ammunition and Quake faced him in hand-in-hand combat. Much to Quake's surprise, Scott quickly fell on his knees, begging for help and fainting because of his wound. Mitchell took a machine gun and intended to kill Quake, but she got to safety as she also protected a civilian from the bullets. An engine roar was heard as the Hell Charger ultimately caught up with the Aryan Brotherhood crew. Mitchell ordered Moore to shoot at the ominous car with a rocket launcher but the car was left undamaged, landing back on its wheels while bathing in fire. The Ghost Rider smashed his car into the stopped Aryan Brotherhood's car. He then violently murdered Moore and Anderson and kidnapped Mitchell, putting him in the Hell Charger's trunk. His attack being over, the Ghost Rider drove the Hell Charger away. In her search, she went to see Scott in the hospital, but he died from his wounds before revealing anything valuable.

Meanwhile, the Ghost Rider sequestrated Mitchell in El Monte Junk and Salvage, where he violently interrogated him about the links between the Aryan Brotherhood and the Chinatown Crew. Once the Ghost Rider got all the answers he needed, he brutally murdered Mitchell and left to chase the Chinatown Crew.

Quake met Robbie Reyes and pretended to be looking for the owner a 1969 Dodge Charger who might have bought the parts for his car at El Monte Junk and Salvage. Reyes, who suspected Quake might expose him and sensed that she was a threat, offered her the opportunity to go through the sales ledger book of sales to check whether she could find any valuable information. Quake accepted but on the way she recognized Reyes' way of rattling his keys as she had heard it before during the Ambush on the Aryan Brotherhood.Quake, realizing that Reyes was none other than the Ghost Rider she was looking for, turned around and attacked Reyes. Reyes tried to incapacitate her, but Quake used her powers to throw Reyes backwards into a van. Getting back up, Reyes grabbed a long metal pole and lit it on fire. He then asked Quake if she had the devil inside of her and the two of them faced off.Eventually, Quake managed to best Reyes and pin him to a barrier, using her powers to hold him in place. Quake accused him of several murders but Reyes rebuffed her, stating that his victims deserved their fate. Enraged, Quake kicked him to the ground and told Reyes that he did not have the right to decide who lived or died. However, Reyes got up and explained that he was not the one who decided, transforming into the Ghost Rider to prove his point.

As Quake looked shocked upon seeing his appearance, Ghost Rider grabbed a steel beam from a car, set it on fire, and tried using it as a weapon towards Quake only for her to use her powers to get the weapon out of his hands and keeping Ghost Rider at bay. Ghost Rider then furiously punched her in the torso, making her fall to the ground. He then threw a large steel cabinet shelf down on top of her, only for Quake to use her powers to stop the cabinet from falling on her. However, this made Quake laying defenseless on the ground. She begged the Ghost Rider to kill her as she still felt remorse for the death of Lincoln Campbell, but the Ghost Rider, having looked into her soul and determining she did not deserve death, simply left the junkyard. Quake then rolled away just in time for the cabinet shelf to fall in her place. She felt one of her bones had been broken while using her powers and examined it while hearing Reyes getting away with the Hell Charger.<nowiki/>

Quake to Leo Fitz[src]

The Chase of Quake was an organized search issued by the newly legitimized peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D. for former Inhuman agent Daisy Johnson

Background

"He's paying for my mistake."
"No. He's paying for all our mistakes."
Daisy Johnson and Phil Coulson[src]

After swaying the Inhuman Daisy Johnson, the ancient Inhuman Hive stole a nuclear warhead and intended to use it to spread a virus around Earth, threatening to turn all Humans into Primitives. After Johnson was successfully released from Hive's influence, she harbored a high degree of guilt as she had hurt several of her friends while being swayed. S.H.I.E.L.D. decided to stop Hive, who had stolen the Zephyr One to fulfill his plans.

A fierce battle occurred between S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hive, and it soon appeared that the only way of defeating the mighty Inhuman and putting an end to his plan was putting him and his warhead into a Quinjet which would be flown into space. Johnson was ready to sacrifice herself as a way to redeem herself, believing she would fulfill Charles Hinton' prophecy, but it was ultimately her boyfriend Lincoln Campbell who assumed the role and saved everyone. Before the connection with the Quinjet was lost, Campbell declared his love for Johnson. Right after that, the Quinjet exploded, killing both Campbell and Hive.

Unable to bear the guilt and grief over Campbell's death, Johnson decided to leave S.H.I.E.L.D. and to act as a rogue vigilante who would soon be known as Quake. Despite knowing that it would be difficult, Phil Coulson and Alphonso Mackenzie went to chase her, hoping to bring her back into S.H.I.E.L.D.[1]
