"I'm starting to play back what's-her-name speech and I don't think our mind is the key to unlock this prison. I think our mind might be the prison."
Leo Fitz to Jemma Simmons[src]

The Cerebral Fusion Machine is a device designed by Chronicoms that can allow users to sent them to the simulation and connect their minds.

History

This section requires expansion

The Cerebral Fusion Machine was created by Chronicoms in order to assemble the best Chronicom scientists in a simulation that can allow them to access all their knowledge instantly in order to make scientific discoveries and technological improvements very quickly.

After the destruction of their home planet, Chronyca-2, Atarah used this device as a mind prison for S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons and forced them to find a way to travel back in time in order to save Chronyca-2. The attempt was a failure because Humans have emotions unlike Chronicoms, so they couldn’t accomplish the mission because they were overwhelmed by their memories and fears. When Fitz and Simmons refuse to cooperate, Atarah threatened to separate them only for Enoch to incapacitate her, Malachi and the other Chronicom hunters, thus freeing Fitz and Simmons from the Cerebral Fusion Machine.[1] Following their escape, the Chronicoms used the Cerebral Fusion Machine to access whatever information Fitz and Simmons left behind.[2]
