Caroline was present at a Choctaw tribe ceremony where she sat next to Chula Battiest and Biscuits. She sang her songs during rituals.[1] Later, Caroline was setting up for the Choctaw Nation Powwow when Battiest walked by. Caroline asked Battiest to hand her a lightbulb.[2]
